It all started with the Love Boutique. And if you think I’m joking, sadly I am not.
One of Mr. Right’s companies reclaims brown fields, which are usually abandoned factories. The buildings are torn down, and the land is decontaminated and put to a new use. I said the brown fields are usually factories. The key word here is usually. Why? Because one of the buildings was a former, (and I can’t even believe I am using these words on our family-oriented, G-rated blog) a strip club. I know….. And its name was the Love Boutique. That’s correct………the Love Boutique. (Couldn’t they have been a little more creative?????????)
So anyway, I told the mister that he had to save the letters for me because I was sure I could do something with them and sell the rest on Craigslist. He did it, but let’s just say he wasn’t a happy camper. Then I had to figure out what I would actually do with the letters, and it had to be fast. You see, they were stacked up in our designer garage, and it is not place for clutter, at least according to him. I knew I could make the word butt, or tub or love, or boo, or live. That’s it. I could make the word live, and when I was tired of living, I could turn it into love.
Then I needed to figure out where I would do this living and loving. Of course, the basement bathroom would be perfect. We added it when we did our whole-house remodel before we moved in, and it is a blank/white/boring canvas. So, I hung them on the wall, and it is still a blank/white/boring canvas, but it is ready to LIVE. Now, I need to decide what else to do, and I am TOTALLY open for suggestions. So, all of you out there in blogland with your creativeness, please send your ideas my way. I am very serious.
Oh, and if you are wondering what happened to these babies, well, not one person responded to the craigslist ad, so I took them to Goodwill. And yes, that is a set of legs on the letter “e”.
And after that, if you think you would still like to follow us on Facebook, click here.
Take care.

Love the letters! Since you are hanging them in your bathroom, why not make the word Loo? Loo is the British word for restroom.

That is a great idea, but I sent the other O to Goodwill a few weeks ago. I’m sure it’s gone by now. Plus, it would probably be divorce court around here if I went to Goodwill to buy them back.

Why not “TUB” in the bathroom…
I know you will figure it out and it will be amazing!
Janette says
I didn’t put tub because that bath only has a shower. ):

Hey Janette;
If you can match the red color, I would buy towels, and other small accessories.
Aside from that, with such a vivid pop of color, and use of the words something very different should be in order!!!
Why not a painting, with the exact match of Red in it? I would make it Mod looking, and I would paint it large to hang over the loo.
Fun, personal items which mean something to you would be nice on the Cabinet.
I would go out on a limb, and I would make this Bathroom much more unique, (than it already is!!!!) and most inviting.
On a side note, I am (still) working on a Bathroom at my Lake House, as I am adding personal items on a shelf which are campy, fun, and which mean something to me. I am enjoying how it looks and so far so good!
I can not wait to see what you will come up with for this Bathroom!!! 🙂

Thanks, Sunny. I appreciate your putting so much thought into it.

I would have totally taken the B, the U and the T and spelled TUB! Big bummer! Love them! Obviously, you need to bring in some other punches of red, and maybe some black too, with a little punch of another color, like turquoise or yellow? If you plan to leave the walls white, I would paint the vanity.
