Last year I wrote a post about local hat designer Polly Singer. With the Kentucky Derby right around the corner, her business is in full stride right now as she prepares couture hats for her local and international customers. You all know how a girl likes her hat for the Derby. Well, yesterday I visited Polly’s studio again to see what she is cooking up for this year.
It was pure goodness.
Polly makes custom looks to match a particular outfit. She also has a large selection that are on sale through her website.
Fascinators are still popular in 2013.
I was happy that polka dots are still in demand, too. I love me some spots!!!
Polly has shelves of embellishments in all colors and sizes.
One hat has many steps and takes many hands.
These hats are works of art, and on Derby Day we will all be looking at them almost as much as we look at the horses.
These hats are truly a work of art! Wish I could wear one but I am so short I look like a mushroom when I try them on.
I agree these hats really are a work of art! Beautiful!
We always love having Janette drop by. She is so talented and makes our hats look good! I always enjoy The 2 Seasons Blog. It’s always a delight to read.
