When my mom and grandmother visited a few weeks ago, we had a girls’ day out. I thought it was time to give my mother a break before she becomes permanently attached to a paint brush. We were always working on projects when she visits. Since we have mentioned Grandma many times in our blog, I thought you might like to meet her. My other grandmother lives in Indiana, and the next time she visits, I will feature her, too.
First, we had lunch at an historic inn. We talked a nice man into taking our three-generation photo.
Then we headed to the winery. I dropped them off at the door and parked the car while they browsed.
They got a good look at the vines…..
…..The grapes…..
…..The wine……
…..and the view.
This was Grandma’s first time to do a wine tasting.
It didn’t take her long to get into it, though.
Mom got into it, too.
Several of their wines were have won awards.
We were each permitted to taste five wines of our choice.
After we completed our tasting, we then selected our favorites. Grandma and Mom each chose a white, and I went with a red.
We made our purchases and called it a day.

What wonderful photos of the three of you and what fun. We’ve done wine tasting at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville several times! It’s always fun and interesting to try new wines!
