This is another one of those “same, same, but different” projects that I love. \u00a0Do you remember when I posted about our gallery wall<\/a> last fall?<\/h3>\n

For those of you who are new to The 2 Seasons, here it is. \u00a0It is made up of original art and\/or artsy items that have special meaning to us.<\/h3>\n

Okay. \u00a0Let’s concentrate on this painting in particular. \u00a0It was done by my mother and is an oil painting of our son and our nephew when they were little boys. \u00a0Cute, isn’t it? \u00a0The only problem is that it is not mine. \u00a0No, it belongs to my brother.<\/h3>\n

This is a closer shot of it. \u00a0The glare is coming from the morning sun that was coming into the foyer.<\/h3>\n

This is what our gallery wall looked like this morning. \u00a0You are probably thinking that it looks the same, and it does. \u00a0But, it’s different. \u00a0The original painting that my mother did has been replaced with a giclee. \u00a0I know. \u00a0Who would have thought?????<\/h3>\n

This is another shot of the giclee. \u00a0I take art classes and was moaning to my art teacher that I would love to own this painting but didn’t feel as if I could ask my brother for it. \u00a0So, she told me to borrow it from my brother and have a reproduction done. \u00a0I have seen giclees in catalogs but didn’t know that a normal person could get one made.<\/h3>\n

All I did was take it to a professional photographer who also has an art gallery. \u00a0She took a photo of the original and then printed it onto a stretched canvas. \u00a0I told her that I wanted it to be the same size as the original, but she could have made it any size. \u00a0That’s it. \u00a0I picked it up a week later and was thrilled with the results. \u00a0It looks and feels like an oil painting. \u00a0There is an ever so slight difference in the color but only if I put them side by side.<\/h3>\n

Now the original can go back to my brother, and I can be happy with the copy because it is “same, same but different”.<\/h3>\n
