Forrest Gump<\/em> is my second favorite movie of all time (The Way We Were<\/em> is number one). \u00a0And the best line in the entire movie, other than “Run, Forrest”, is “Life is like a box of chocolates. \u00a0You never know what you’re going to get”.<\/h3>\n

I have decided that same quote can be applied to Walmart, of all places.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

I recently stopped in a nearby Walmart to pick up a small air horn. \u00a0Mr. Autumn and I are going on a big biking trip, and I needed to buy an small air horn\/fog horn. \u00a0After being bitten by a dog while bicycling in France last year, I don’t want to be on my bike without one. \u00a0The loud noise of the horn grabs a dog’s attention long enough for me to pedal away. \u00a0Unfortunately, I didn’t have one with me in France, …………(WARNING \u00a0– GRAPHIC PHOTO COMING UP<\/span>)<\/h3>\n

….when a dog decided it wanted a taste of my All-American blood. \u00a0But I digress. \u00a0This post isn’t about dogs, biking, or fog horns.<\/h3>\n

It’s about these cute things that I also bought at Walmart.<\/h3>\n

I’m going to call them napkins, but I didn’t find them in the home decorating department.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I always wear bandanas when I ‘m cycling because they have many uses like keeping the sun off of my neck, wiping off grease, etc.). \u00a0So, I decided to buy some on the same shopping trip. \u00a0While picking out my 2012 bandana wardrobe, I found these cute bandanas that will make great napkins. \u00a0 And get this……They were only $1.00 EACH.<\/h3>\n

I teamed the bandana<\/del>\u00a0napkin with a placemat by Pomegranate, a white Nantucket Basket dinner plate by Wedgewood, a green depression glass salad\/dessert plate, a blue water goblet by Libbey and silver in the Royal Danish pattern by International. \u00a0The napkin ring is made from a flattened silver-plate spoon and was a gift from my sister-in-law.<\/h3>\n

The whole combination is so fresh and speaks spring so well.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So, I guess I can in a round-about way, thank the French dog that bit me. \u00a0Without him, I wouldn’t have wanted a new fog horn, and I wouldn’t have gone to Walmart. \u00a0Then I wouldn’t have been reminded to buy some bandanas, so, I wouldn’t have seen these cute floral babies that inspired me to come up with a spring table setting. \u00a0It’s just like Forrest said. \u00a0You never know what you’re going to get.<\/h3>\n
