Don’t you just love walking in your neighborhood when there aren’t any leaves on the trees? \u00a0It’s a whole lot easier to snoop <\/del>see what the houses really look like.<\/h3>\n

We live in an historic area, and on a recent pretty day, I took photos of some of the charming and not so charming houses.<\/h3>\n

This little charmer was recently purchased and is getting a complete overhaul. \u00a0I hope it remains yellow. \u00a0It was cute before. \u00a0It will be fantastic afterwards.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0I’m not a fan of the add-on at the rear of this house.<\/h3>\n

There are stately homes and little cottages.<\/h3>\n

This little cutie is a rental. \u00a0The last occupants always had it looking perfect. \u00a0I hope the new tenants love it just as much.<\/h3>\n

Our neighborhood is heavily overseen by a historic commission that gets final approval on all exterior changes and improvements. \u00a0That can be a good thing or a bad thing.<\/h3>\n

There are Victorians and colonials, like this one.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

You can see some remaining fancy trim at the top of this one.<\/h3>\n

I’m always attracted to the cottages.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0Some of the homes have interesting features like this turret……<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

….and this stained glass window.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0This carriage house was turned into a home.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0Some of the old homes were torn down in the 80’s and replaced with new townhouses, like this one. \u00a0Our townhouse fits into that category.<\/h3>\n
