<\/h3>\nIt looks as if I’m on an art kick around here (read more about it here<\/a>)\u00a0because today’s post deals with that topic – again. \u00a0We all know how pricey unusual art\u00a0can <\/em>be, but I have a great idea to share that deals with art that is special, meaningful, and somewhat original. \u00a0And it will usually cost you less than one dollar each. \u00a0Yep, you read that right!<\/h3>\n <\/p>\n
Post cards……..It’s that simple. \u00a0How many times have you been to a flea market, auction, or antique sale and you’ve seen a vendor who has tons of them for sale? \u00a0They are usually organized by themes (trains, bridges, states, holidays, etc.) \u00a0You can \u00a0buy most of these vintage treasures for very little.<\/h3>\n

My grandmother collected them, and when Jordan was little we bought a pile of post cards dating from 1905 – 1919 from a man in my hometown for just a few dollars. \u00a0We have used them ever since. \u00a0Jordan used them for Christmas decorating (here<\/a>), I used them at Thanksgiving (here<\/a>), and we used them in a really special way at Jordan’s wedding. \u00a0(We’ll tell you about that in April).<\/h3>\n <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n<\/h3>\nThere’s even one for the fourth of July. \u00a0It doesn’t look very old, does it? \u00a0But its date goes back to the early 1900’s. \u00a0The nice thing about the old cards is that if you want to preserve them and have copies made to use, there is no problem with copyrights because of their age.<\/h3>\n<\/h3>\nIf you read our Thanksgiving and Christmas links above, then you saw the cards for those two holidays. \u00a0We have lots more, but the holiday cards are truly our faves. \u00a0I hope you got some ideas from this and can find some post card art that you can use in your homes.<\/h3>\nTake care.<\/h3>\n
