the hutch was built in or around 1976 because the drawers were lined with colonial soldiers, the Liberty Bell, candles, scrolls and old flags.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/07\/hutch-update\/dresser-fabric-of-choice\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5930\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter this great, colorful paisley fabric and decided it would be a cute drawer liner, but it would take a little work.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00178QQ5W\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00178QQ5W&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=the2sea-20&amp;linkId=O4EB3WIWJGZMZLMD\">fabric stiffener<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003WW5756\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B003WW5756&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=the2sea-20&amp;linkId=NIA7MQG6JVWLPYNK\">spray starch<\/a>.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/07\/hutch-update\/dresser-stiffy-stuff\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5918\"><img 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Then I submerged the fabric into the stiffener\/water solution. \u00a0If I were to do this again, I would have cut the fabric to fit the drawers first. \u00a0 Then it wouldn&#8217;t have been so cumbersome to work with. \u00a0I also would have used less water in the solution.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/07\/hutch-update\/dresser-fabric-drying\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5931\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5931\" title=\"Dresser fabric drying\" liners.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">The next big transformation involved changing the pulls.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/24\/our-new-hutch\/img_1157\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5669\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5669\" title=\"IMG_1157\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1157-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">After we finished phase one, I just reattached the original hardware that I had spray painted with ORB. \u00a0We thought it looked too early American, though and knew we would have to update them to make the hutch look truly transformed.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/07\/hutch-update\/dresser-close-up-new-handles\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5932\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5932\" title=\"Dresser close up new handles\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Dresser-close-up-new-handles-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" left;\">Because the width of some of the old hardware was 3 inches and some was 3 3\/4 inches, it was more difficult to find hardware that would fit both sizes. \u00a0They were either one size or the other.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/07\/hutch-update\/dresser-handle-close-up\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5926\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5926\" title=\"Dresser handle close up\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Dresser-handle-close-up-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" found this style at Home Depot that actually had <em>both<\/em> size options in each handle. \u00a0However, they were stainless, and we were using the original hinges which had already been sprayed with ORB.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/07\/hutch-update\/dresser-finished-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5929\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5929\" title=\"Dresser finished 2\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/Dresser-finished-2-822x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"491\" sizes=\"(max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">So, I sprayed the new pulls with ORB, and the problem was solved.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Hutch-Before.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 369px) 100vw, 369px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">This is a web photo of what the hutch looked like when we found it at the Salvation Army store and paid just $129. for it.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a hardware, spray painting it and attaching it (whew!), this is what it looks like today. \u00a0All I need to do now is find the right accessories for it.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:
