\u00a0Autumn (Janette)<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3>It&#8217;s always nice to get home after a long trip and settle back in. \u00a0We left home two weeks ago and returned last night. \u00a0In the middle of shopping, laundry, and cleaning, I decided to check an item off of my to-do list. \u00a0I made a simple little terrarium.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1176\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5841\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5841\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_1176-1024x762.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I made a quick trip to Lowe&#8217;s and bought three plants, some potting soil, and some gravel.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1177\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5839\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5839\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_1177-1024x859.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"412\" 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The plants were on sale for only $1.00 each. \u00a0I think they are making room for their Christmas inventory.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1178-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5840\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I spread everything out on the kitchen table. \u00a0I used a large, lidded jar that my mother gave me. \u00a0It will have to work since I don&#8217;t have a decorative container on hand.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1179-2\/\" rel=\"attachment technique Martha Stewart used on one of her shows. \u00a0The gravel went in first.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1180\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5843\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5843\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_1180-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Next was the soil. \u00a0I made sure it was evenly spread.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The first plant I used had six little bulbs so I divided it and gave it a hair cut.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The second plant had some dead leaves which I trimmed away.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Then I divided it, too. \u00a0Of course Martha knew the scientific names of all of the plants she used. \u00a0I don&#8217;t even know the common names.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1185\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5847\"><img decoding=\"async\" 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I do know the third plant is in the ivy family. \u00a0After they were all in, I smoothed out the soil and misted them with water. \u00a0I screwed the lid on tightly. \u00a0That is the secret to keeping the plants moist.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/\">here<\/a>)<\/span>\u00a0in the sunroom (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a title=\"Free Falling\" href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/04\/free-falling\/\">here<\/a><\/span>) and (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a title=\"Our New Sun Room\" href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/06\/07\/our-new-sun-room\/\">here<\/a><\/span>).<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/11\/01\/nesting\/img_1188-2\/\"
