491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I bought this charming little Victorian bamboo plant stand at the Scott&#8217;s Antique Market in Atlanta a few years ago. \u00a0It had been lovingly used when I bought it, and I lovingly used it some more.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1084\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5533\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5533\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1084-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1084-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1084-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Two of the shelves were damaged from plants that had been on them. \u00a0Even though I doubted if I could get a perfect finish, my goal was to make it at least look better.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1092\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5534\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5534\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1092-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1092-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1092-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I sanded off as much of the old finish and damage as I could.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1087\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5537\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5537\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1087-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1087-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1087-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I then applied a walnut stain. \u00a0The bottom shelves here already have the stain, and you can see there is a definite contrast in the appearance. \u00a0Also, you can see the damage that I could not sand out. \u00a0 I like the walnut because it matches the dark pigmentation on the bamboo. \u00a0After the stain dried, I applied one coat of dark Briwax.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1170-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5560\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5560\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_11701-783x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_11701-783x1024.jpg 783w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_11701-247x323.jpg 247w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_11701.jpg 1415w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 376px) 100vw, 376px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I then moved it to its new home in our sunroom, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a title=\"Our New Sun Room\" href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/06\/07\/our-new-sun-room\/\">here<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a title=\"Free Falling\" href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/04\/free-falling\/\">here<\/a><\/span>. \u00a0I &#8220;shopped the house&#8221; and found some items with fall colors to use as accessories.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1171\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5559\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5559\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1171-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1171-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1171-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">For the top shelf, I used one of the plates from a set I have from my grandmother. \u00a0I added a wooden stirrup that is usually a napkin holder in the kitchen and a votive candle in an amber container.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1120\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5540\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5540\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1120-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1120-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1120-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I placed two of my Hall teapots in deep green on the second shelf. \u00a0You can see here how nice the newly stained shelves look.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1121\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5541\"><img decoding=\"async\" 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I have some children&#8217;s books with garden themes that I bought used at the public library&#8217;s annual book sale. \u00a0They are now on the third shelf. \u00a0I bought these books specifically for our back porch at our last house, and now they work perfectly in our sunroom.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/10\/16\/revamped-and-revised\/img_1122\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5542\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5542\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1122-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1122-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_1122-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The bottom shelf is now home to a little vintage picnic basket that I have. \u00a0I put it there simply because it fits. \u00a0When I change the sunroom over to my north woods look for winter, I will have a new use for it.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_11701.jpg 1415w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 423px) 100vw, 423px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">This little shelf has been used in our powder room, in the guest room, and in the pantry. \u00a0And now it works perfectly in our sunroom. \u00a0And with its new facelift, I am sure it has many years of service left.<\/h3>\n<h3
