on the Lawn\" href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/29\/movie-on-the-lawn\/\">here<\/a>, and\u00a0today I will show you how I made them. \u00a0They are the &#8220;it&#8221; food treat right now. \u00a0I wasn&#8217;t sure how they were going to turn out, but I still wanted to give them a try. \u00a0Overall, the recipe was easy, and they tasted good. \u00a0But, they took a lot of time.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/29\/cake-pops-a-how-to\/cake-pops\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5123\"><img decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">First, bake a basic cake. \u00a0I just used a cake mix.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Once the cake has cooled, crumble it up. \u00a0Here I used my hands as the tools.<\/h3>\n<p cake, \u00a0I decided to use the food processor, and that is the way to go. \u00a0It breaks up the edges of the cake much better than I did using my hands.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/29\/cake-pops-a-how-to\/cake-pop-with-icing\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5125\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Once the cake is crumbled, add 3\/4 of a pre-made container of icing. \u00a0Since this was a vanilla cake, I added vanilla icing.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/29\/cake-pops-a-how-to\/cake-pop-balls\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5129\"><img make balls a tad larger than a Tootsie Pop and place them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. \u00a0Put them in the freezer for 15 minutes, and then store them in the refrigerator till you are ready to add the candy coating.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/29\/cake-pops-a-how-to\/cake-pops-stick\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5124\"><img candy coating I used for the first batch. \u00a0I just melted candy wafers (available at Michael&#8217;s) in the microwave. \u00a0They come in different colors so that you can coordinate them with your party theme, if you wish. \u00a0The second time around I put the wafers in a small crock pot and heated them that way. \u00a0This method was easier, and the coating stayed warm, which made it easier to work with. \u00a0To make the &#8220;pop&#8221;, I took a lollipop stick and dipped it in the candy coating before putting the cake ball on the lollipop stick. \u00a0This helped it attached better.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/29\/cake-pops-a-how-to\/cake-pop-going-in-icing\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5127\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5127\" title=\"candy coating\" wasn&#8217;t having much luck just dipping the cake pop into the icing without some of the cake crumbling. \u00a0I then decided to just spread the candy coating on it with an offset knife. \u00a0After the candy was on, I added some sprinkles or other frosting as decorations. \u00a0The possibilities are endless.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">If you decide to use the lollipop sticks you will need some styrofoam to put the finished product in so they can &#8220;set up&#8221; while sitting up.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">The best part about these treats is that they are the perfect serving size. \u00a0One is just enough to help satisfy
