Platter Chalk Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Author: \u00a0Spring (Jordan)<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>I love chalkboard paint, and now that I recently purchased some chalkboard markers I have been doing some easy projects here. \u00a0This one is very easy, and it only cost me $3.99 \u00a0I took an old tray and painted it with chalkboard paint, and voila, I had a place where I could write a menu or message.<\/h3>\n<h3>First of all, I went to the thrift store and found a platter that I liked and purchased it for $3.99.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/08\/31\/serving-platter-chalk-board\/tray-before\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4735\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">I first cleaned the platter, and next \u00a0I traced a template from the bottom of the platter so I would know the area to paint. \u00a0Here I used a left over pizza box. \u00a0Anything will work.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/08\/31\/serving-platter-chalk-board\/tray-taped-with-template\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4728\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter had the template, I decided to use painter&#8217;s tape to mark out the area I would be painting. \u00a0If \u00a0you didn&#8217;t want to tape, you could just mark out the area. \u00a0I still need to use the painter&#8217;s tape.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/08\/31\/serving-platter-chalk-board\/tray-taped\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4727\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4727\" title=\"Tray taped\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Tray-taped-1024x682.jpg\" template, I had the area ready to paint with the chalkboard paint.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a &#8220;Wine Crawl&#8221;, which you can learn about it an upcoming post. \u00a0We were assigned New York wines at our house, and so, our new platter provided a way to identify the wine region our
