{"id":43855,"date":"2020-02-12T18:00:16","date_gmt":"2020-02-12T23:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=43855"},"modified":"2020-01-31T17:55:35","modified_gmt":"2020-01-31T22:55:35","slug":"five-reasons-to-stay-in-an-air-b-n-b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=43855","title":{"rendered":"Five Reasons to Stay in an Air BnB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.\u00a0 We have some great travel information for you today.\u00a0 Have you ever stayed in an Air BnB?\u00a0 I am somewhat an amateur when it comes to staying in them, but when my friend <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2019\/11\/18\/tips-for-visiting-paris\/\">Missie and I were in Paris<\/a><\/span> in November, we stayed in one for a whole week.\u00a0 And what a treat it was?\u00a0 Family members who have stayed in them have always been happy with their stays, too.\u00a0 In fact, our son and his wife were Air BnB super hosts with rave reviews when they rented out the apartment in the basement of their home in DC.\u00a0 (They have recently moved to Colorado and no longer have the right kind of space.)\u00a0 Why stay in an Air BnB?\u00a0 We have five reasons to stay in an Air BnB for you.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>1.\u00a0 They often cost less than a hotel room.<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-41534\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_3944-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Carry on packing tips with Baggalini - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_3944-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_3944-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_3944-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The same amount of square footage in a hotel versus an Air BnB is almost always less expensive.\u00a0 For instance, when we were in Paris, the apartment we rented through Air BnB was half the price of a small hotel room in the same Marais neighborhood.\u00a0 For a whole week, we lived as if we were apartment dwellers in Paris, rather than two women who were the<\/p>\n<h2>2.\u00a0 They are usually larger.<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-43329\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris206-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris206-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris206-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris206-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not only was our Paris rental half the price of a hotel room, it was much larger.\u00a0 We had a full kitchen, a bathroom with a washer and dryer, a living area with two sleepers, a private bedroom, a dining area, and a desk area.\u00a0 I am not interested in staying in a bedroom in someone&#8217;s home, but I certainly enjoyed staying in someone&#8217;s apartment.\u00a0 Our host did not live in the building, but his niece did.\u00a0 She was &#8220;on call&#8221; to give us any help if we needed it (we didn&#8217;t), and he emailed us a few times to make sure we were okay.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Prepare your meals.<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-43328\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris205-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris205-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris205-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Paris205-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now I know that one of the fun parts about travel is eating the food in a new place.\u00a0 However, another bonus is checking out the local food markets and grocery stores.\u00a0 It&#8217;s always fun to cook the way the locals cook.\u00a0 Staying in an apartment with a kitchen or kitchenette gives you the chance to eat some meals in, sample food from the farmers&#8217; market, make a cup of tea or hot chocolate, drink a glass of wine in quiet and more.\u00a0 When we stayed in an A-frame rental by the ocean in Figi years ago, we had fun shopping at the local market and cooking our own food.\u00a0 Since I didn&#8217;t recognize most of the food they were selling, it was a real learning experience for us all.\u00a0 Preparing your own meals is a great money saver if you plan to travel on a budget.<\/p>\n<h2>4.\u00a0 Booking is easier.<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27634\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0949-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0949-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0949-430x286.jpg 430w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0949-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0949-900x599.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another nice thing about staying in an Air BnB is the booking process.\u00a0 You can select your likes, wants, and needs based on their filtering system.\u00a0 You can also download their app so that it is always easy and convenient.
