The negative is that they don&#8217;t let in a much light when they&#8217;re open as French doors would have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42749\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-61-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"854\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-61-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-61-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-61-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What has been bugging me is the brick on the walls and on the floor for that matter.\u00a0 I think the red brick walls really darken the space.\u00a0 Plus, they get a chalk-like matter on them from time to time depending on the amount of humidity in the air.\u00a0 We are not sure what causes that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42742\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-1-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-1-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-1-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-1-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The porch gets the morning sun which is another reason why it tends to be dark in the later hours of the day.\u00a0 I love this feature though.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2015\/04\/05\/spring-in-the-sunroom\/\">sunroom<\/a> in our last house got the afternoon sun, and we couldn&#8217;t use it after lunch most of the year.\u00a0 It was way too hot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42748\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-6-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"854\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-6-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-6-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Porch-6-300x400.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, please take a look at these photos, and let us know your opinions on painting the brick or not painting the brick.\u00a0 If we do paint it, we would make it the same color as the interior &#8211;
