Google’s adoption update is the topic of this blog post.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hello, everyone.\u00a0 I have missed a couple of months, but I wanted to share Google’s adoption update with you today.\u00a0 We have hit the eight-month mark!!\u00a0 We finished our last visit with our social worker, and now we wait on paperwork from Thailand.\u00a0 Our social worker has been amazing, and she has been with us since before Little Miss came home.\u00a0 She has been so supportive and helpful during this process.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As I write this post I can say with confidence that Google is doing great.\u00a0 He had a lot of grief and emotions, and we have really worked through lots of those emotions.\u00a0 We have always shown him pictures of his foster mother and at first, he wouldn’t look at her and would get angry.\u00a0 Then after some time passed, he looked at the pictures and told me he was sad.\u00a0 Now he points to her, tells me her name, and has a big smile.\u00a0 He lost the only family he knew so he needed time and needed to go through the stages of grief.<\/p>\n

I recently just ordered tons of photos to send to my children’s foster mothers.\u00a0 They did raise my children when they were babies. They were the ones to rock them to sleep and kiss them goodnight.\u00a0 The least I can do is send them photos with a letter update. (On a side note, we did go visit Little Miss’s foster mother when we were in Thailand, and she had all the pictures up in her room that I had mailed her from the beginning.\u00a0 She treasures the pictures, so I know it is important.\u00a0 Little Miss likes to include some artwork nowadays!)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Google’s personality is really coming out more, and he is happy.\u00a0 Don’t get me wrong…. we still have our fair share of tantrums, but overall he is happy.\u00a0 He laughs a lot.\u00a0 He loves the slapstick humor, and the smallest things make him laugh.\u00a0 He also tries to get you to laugh especially as a parent when you want to laugh but shouldn’t.\u00a0 He loves all things construction, cars, and firefighters! He is also my cuddler.\u00a0 He loves to get cozy especially if he watches a show.\u00a0 He will lie down and get comfortable.\u00a0 Little Miss sits tall and doesn’t move.\u00a0 He still comes to me and asks to be rocked like a baby. He will bring this weighted blanket<\/a><\/span> which has done wonders.\u00a0 I’ll do that as long as he lets me.\u00a0 When I look down and see his big brown eyes, it really does make me feel I am rocking my son when he was a baby.\u00a0 I cherish those moments because I know before long he won’t want to be rocked like a baby.<\/p>\n

Christmas was so fun this year, and Google really got into the music.\u00a0 He still is singing “Jingle Bell Rock.”\u00a0 We went to see Santa, and we all were shocked that he didn’t cry.\u00a0 We have an elf on the shelf, and he loved trying to find him each morning.\u00a0 It really is so fun to watch through the eyes of a child.\u00a0 Christmas morning was overwhelming, and he never even made it to opening his stocking.\u00a0 I put away a lot of his toys to bring out throughout the year because we could tell it was a lot for him.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Since I last wrote we took a trip to Florida, to Dollywood<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> and to Austin, Texas.\u00a0 He is just like his big sister and is becoming a great little traveler.\u00a0 He loves airplanes and gets so excited when we get to go on one.\u00a0 We also love to go to the overlook at the airport and watch the planes take off.\u00a0 \u00a0 We said we always wanted to show our kids the world, and we look forward to some longer trips in the future with him.\u00a0 Here is with his Jellycat<\/span><\/a> that Little Miss gave to him when she met him.\u00a0 To this day I swear they are the best-stuffed animals<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span> Little Miss has one, and it has been her almost constant companion.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It’s all coming together, and it is amazing how he fits right into our family.\u00a0 Little Miss tells me a couple of times a week she loves having a brother and how much she loves him.\u00a0 That right there melts this mamma’s heart.\u00a0 It was a long road to get here, but it feels good to have my family happy, healthy and all together and under one roof.\u00a0 We hope you enjoyed Google’s adoption update.<\/p>\n
