It is finally feeling like fall around here, and that brings to mind that it’s also time for comfort food.\u00a0 If you want to enjoy the season with a nod to the Germans, then here you go.\u00a0 You have come to the right place.\u00a0 We have the perfect Oktoberfest meal for you.\u00a0 We looked through our archives and found three delicious recipes that will work just fine.\u00a0 All you need to do is add the steins of beer or ginger ale.\u00a0 We have a slow cooker main course recipe, a recipe for some delicious soft pretzels, and an upside down Black Forest cake for you. \u00a0 Just go to the links under each photo for the recipes.\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/p>\n

I can guarantee that these three recipes are delicious., but the nice thing is that you can have a simplified version of this meal after a busy day.\u00a0 First, put your brats and kraut in the slow cooker before leaving the house in the morning. Rather than making pretzels from scratch,\u00a0 just buy frozen soft pretzels at the grocery, and follow the package directions to fix them. (They usually heat in about a minute in the microwave.)\u00a0 You can simplify the cake recipe by using a chocolate cake mix rather than making it from scratch.\u00a0 Then just spread a can of cherry pie filling on the top.<\/p>\n
