Fall has arrived in the back entry.\u00a0 With just a few small changes, the little area between the back porch<\/a><\/span> and the mud room<\/a><\/span> has taken on the aura of my favorite season.\u00a0 Let’s take a look.<\/p>\n

The main pieces, which include the lamp, mirror, file cabinet, and rug are the same.\u00a0 If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I added different art, an antique set of opera binoculars, and a new container for the plant.\u00a0 Oh, and if you have a piece of furniture that you love but it has a messed up top, then have a mirror cut to fit it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This mirror was my first ever purchase from the Habitat Restore, before it was even called that, years and years ago.\u00a0 Of course, I had to put my own touch on it with paint.\u00a0 I still love it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This shade came from Ballards Designs outlet at deep discount.\u00a0 The art has been in storage for a while.\u00a0 I had the print framed early in our marriage, and the colors remind me of fall.\u00a0 I’m glad I kept it all of these years.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

These demi-johns came from different parts of the world and the rug is from Turkey.\u00a0\u00a0 I know you’re supposed to use odd numbers in decor, but I just happened to have four demi-johns that needed a new spot to roost.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u00a0I love old wooden file cabinets that have unusal dimensions.\u00a0 This one came from an antique sale here in Lexington that used to take place in a tobacco warehouse in the summer.\u00a0 That warehouse has now been demolished and replaced by student housing.\u00a0 Sigh….<\/p>\n

That’s our fall back entry!\u00a0 Little by little we will share our fall decor with you.\u00a0 We have already spiffed up the back porch for fall, and the family room and kitchen have received some autumn touches.\u00a0 As soon as we return from our trip, our new shelves and cabinets will be installed in the dining room, and then I’ll show you that room.<\/p>\n
