I love the posts that fill me in on what people are buying on Amazon.\u00a0 I have a huge Amazon shopping list right now to get ready for Google.\u00a0 (There’s an adoption update coming next week with very good news in it.)\u00a0 I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite purchases on Amazon.\u00a0 Do you have something you bought on Amazon and love? Tell us!\u00a0 I love hearing what others buy.<\/p>\n

Egg Cooker<\/a><\/h2>\n

My mom just rolls her eyes when I talk about my egg cooker.\u00a0 But this thing<\/a> is amazing.\u00a0 Every Monday morning I put in some eggs and minutes later I have hard boiled eggs that are EASY to peel.\u00a0 My mom says just boil them, and put them in ice water.\u00a0 This, to me, is easier, and I can’t mess up.\u00a0 It really sold me with the easy peeling.\u00a0\u00a0\"\"And by the way, my mom feels the same way about my rice cooker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Silk Pillowcase\"\"<\/a><\/h2>\n

I have always heard sleeping on a silk pillowcase<\/a> is wonderful for your skin.\u00a0 I have also learned it is wonderful for your hair.\u00a0 I love this silk pillowcase and even travel with it.\u00a0 It really cuts down on my frizz, and I am a fan. (To read about my curly hair adventure, go here<\/a>.)\u00a0 Plus, it comes in tons of colors.\u00a0 I have it in the pink, and Mom has it in tan.<\/p>\n

Ok to Wake clock\"\"\u00a0<\/a><\/h2>\n

Before we even had kids, our friends who did told us about this clock<\/a>.\u00a0 It is a clock that lights up when it is okay for your child to get up.\u00a0 You can also schedule naps.\u00a0 It has a timer that you set, and the light will go off when nap time is over.\u00a0 We LOVE this clock, and while we won’t be able to use it for Google till he is a little older, it is amazing for Little Miss.\u00a0 For nap or quiet time she has some time to play or sleep in her room quietly, and then she comes out when the light comes on.\u00a0 Same for the mornings.\u00a0 She\u00a0 knows it is okay to get up when the light comes on.\u00a0 If she needs to go to the restroom, she can get up and go.\u00a0 But she knows it is time to wake up when the light is on.\u00a0 It is not as harsh as an alarm clock, and she loves to tell us her light came on.<\/p>\n

Berenstain Bear Books<\/a><\/h2>\n

I remember these as a child and loved them.\u00a0 I think my parents liked the message because we had the one about fighting with your sibling and about cleaning your room.\u00a0 HaHa!! . Before we moved to Lexington, we had one about moving day.\u00a0 I ordered a few, and Little Miss is really enjoying them.\u00a0 They have great messages, and they are a huge hit right now.\u00a0 Plus, isn’t a book about the Golden Rule<\/a> a good lesson we should all remember?\u00a0 I have some more in my cart to order.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

NY Times Crossword Puzzle Book<\/a><\/h2>\n

I am not the biggest fan of crossword puzzles, but people in my family enjoy them.\u00a0 These crossword puzzle books have been good gifts, and if you like crossword puzzles, they have lots. You can select which day of the week you want since the puzzles get harder as the week goes on. \u00a0 I know Charles likes to rip out some pages\u00a0 and take them with him when he travels.\u00a0 My mom also does the same thing.\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Visual Timer<\/a><\/h2>\n

As adults, we know how to tell time.\u00a0 We know what five minutes mean.\u00a0 Little ones – not so much.\u00a0 Having a\u00a0 schedule and knowing what is going to happen next is huge with adopted children.\u00a0 They had a time in their lives when a big surprise was a traumatic event,\u00a0 so surprises are not always\u00a0 a good thing.\u00a0 We learned about this clock from reading lots of adoption books, and we now have\u00a0 many non adoptive friends using them for their children.\u00a0 One of my friends even got one for her classroom for her students to see how much time they had left to do something.\u00a0 We always discuss the events of the day with Little Miss to take away the surprise factor.\u00a0 We use this timer in the play room so Little Miss knows how long she has when she is playing, eating, etc.\u00a0 Do we have time to do a puzzle before bath?\u00a0 Or we can say it is time to pick up your toys in 10 minutes.\u00a0 Or we will leave for school in seven minutes, and she can see it.\u00a0 This is a great visualizer and has been a life saver.\u00a0 So, if you have little ones I highly recommend.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Ghost Chair<\/a><\/h2>\n

I bought a ghost chair a few years ago for my office, and I still use it daily.\u00a0 I enjoy the look and quality of this ghost chair, and it has held up well.\u00a0 You can find some great home finds on Amazon like this chair<\/a>.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Icing Bags<\/a><\/h2>\n

If you do any cookie decorating, these bags are awesome.\u00a0 I really enjoy decorating cookies with Little Miss, and these bags are so much easier than the reusable ones, and the clean up is a lot easier.\u00a0 These 200 will last you a long time.\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Leggings\"\"\u00a0<\/a><\/h2>\n

My mom and I both rave about these leggings.<\/a>\u00a0 I have ordered a few items of clothes on Amazon and have returned more things than I have kept.\u00a0 However, I keep these leggings and keep ordering more.\u00a0 The price and the comfort can’t be beat.\u00a0 I have some other leggings from Nordstrom and these are so much better and are a fraction of the price.<\/p>\n

Well, there you go –\u00a0 a totally random list of some of my favorite Amazon buys.\u00a0 Now, we can’t wait to hear your favorite purchases.<\/p>\n
