Stucco with 50 percent pigment.\u00a0 That will give the beautiful wood fireplace, baseboards, and crown moldings to stand out and shine.\u00a0 The living room ceiling and Mike&#8217;s office ceiling are already painted that color, and most of the molding has been painted.\u00a0 This same color, which was perfect in our last house, is looking way too dark in those two rooms.\u00a0 (The addition and new kitchen are waiting for drywall so they haven&#8217;t been painted yet.)\u00a0 It&#8217;s hard to believe that the paint in this photo is the same as the first two photos.\u00a0 I checked the formula to make sure it was the same, and it is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39509\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1849-575x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Townhouse paint - The 2 seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"1139\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1849-575x1024.jpg 575w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1849-181x323.jpg 181w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1849-768x1367.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1849-300x534.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1849.jpg 1053w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After losing too much sleep over these walls and ceilings, I bought three samples &#8211; Stucco with 50 percent pigment just to make sure they had used the correct formula, Stucco with 40 percent pigment, and Stucco with 30 percent pigment. (The gray background is primer) \u00a0 I spent an afternoon applying those colors to various spots in the office, living room, and foyer.\u00a0 You are probably wondering why I just don&#8217;t pick a new shade for the ceilings and skip the percentages.\u00a0 It&#8217;s because I know this one is a good neutral.\u00a0 It&#8217;s as simple and maybe as dumb as that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39510\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1851-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Townhouse paint - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"1138\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1851-576x1024.jpg 576w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1851-182x323.jpg 182w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1851-768x1366.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1851-300x534.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1851.jpg 1125w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then I realized what the problem is.\u00a0 It&#8217;s those painted ceilings.\u00a0 You can see in just this photo how much darker the paint on the ceiling is compared to the wall, and it&#8217;s the same color!!!\u00a0 The living room gets the morning sun, and by mid-afternoon on even a very sunny summer day, it is very shaded.\u00a0 (Remember, it&#8217;s in an historic neighborhood, and there are some big trees.) \u00a0 The painted ceilings are casting a dark glow on the walls and throwing me off.\u00a0 So, I have decided to go with white ceilings or maybe 30 percent pigment ceilings.\u00a0 I know this will disappoint one person in particular, (sorry, Beth) but I have to live with it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39507\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1847-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Townhouse paint - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"1138\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1847-576x1024.jpg 576w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1847-182x323.jpg 182w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1847-768x1366.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1847-300x534.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_1847.jpg 1125w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The painters have several five gallon buckets of the paint already mixed up, so I don&#8217;t know what will happen when I pick a color for the kitchen and addition (family room.)\u00a0 I have a week or so to think about it.<\/p>\n<p>And one more thing &#8211;
