Glass Window Plaques"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><em>Author: \u00a0Autumn<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3>Years ago a very old gentleman in his eighties gave my mother a few of his family keepsakes. \u00a0Among there were four stained and leaded glass herb window hangings. \u00a0My mother used them till she and my father down-sized, and then she passed them along to me.<\/h3>\n<h3>I didn&#8217;t have the proper window lay-out to use them until now. \u00a0A few of our rooms have transom windows over French doors, and the kitchen transom provides the perfect place to display them.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/08\/09\/stained-glass-window-plaques\/img_0690\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3913\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">This transom is over the French doors that go into our all-glass sunroom. \u00a0The window hangings get the perfect light 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Based on the gentleman&#8217;s age at the time and my mother&#8217;s age now, (sorry, Mother), they are easily over 100 years 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">The amethyst glass used for the sweet bay is beautiful.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Sweet Bay is not a common herb to grow these days. \u00a0Martha Stewart is the only person I know of who grows her own.<\/h3>\n<p 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I replaced the rusty wire holders that were on them with some thin jute. It looks much nicer.
