{"id":36374,"date":"2017-08-23T19:21:35","date_gmt":"2017-08-24T00:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=36374"},"modified":"2017-08-23T13:22:37","modified_gmt":"2017-08-23T18:22:37","slug":"diy-granite-cleaner-for-your-counters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=36374","title":{"rendered":"DIY Granite Cleaner for Your Counters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DIY granite cleaner is the way to go if you have a lot of counter tops to clean in\u00a0 your kitchen or baths.\u00a0 I have lived in my share of places and have had multiple types of counters.\u00a0 We had concrete in Atlanta, and I hated it.\u00a0 In Hawaii and San Francisco, I had laminate, and I actually liked it and how it cleaned up so easily. Now we have granite. This kitchen is awesome in the amount of counter space we have for prepping food. \u00a0Boy, do I spread out and use most of it when I&#8217;m cooking.\u00a0 The down side to that is there&#8217;s a whole lot of space to clean up and keep clean.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I tried a variety of different granite cleaners and was going using them up so quickly that\u00a0 I decided I should make my own. \u00a0After testing out some recipes, I settled on one that really works great.\u00a0 When my mom was here watching Little Miss, she sent me a text that said, &#8220;LOVE your homemade granite cleaner.&#8221;\u00a0 If it got Mom&#8217;s approval, then it needs to be shared.\u00a0 She doesn&#8217;t like cleaners that leave visible streaks or smears, and this one does not.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36475\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Granite-Cleaner-pic.jpg\" alt=\"Homemade Granite Spray\" width=\"692\" height=\"840\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Granite-Cleaner-pic.jpg 692w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Granite-Cleaner-pic-266x323.jpg 266w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Granite-Cleaner-pic-300x364.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Homemade Granite Cleaner<\/h2>\n<p>1\/2 cup rubbing alcohol<\/p>\n<p>2 cups water<\/p>\n<p>7 drops of dish soap\u00a0 (I like Dawn)<\/p>\n<p>3-4 drops of scented oil to cover the alcohol smell.\u00a0 (I had lavender on hand so that is what I used.)<\/p>\n<p>Mix all ingredients together and put in spray bottle. \u00a0Spray as needed.
