{"id":34652,"date":"2017-04-11T18:00:16","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T23:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=34652"},"modified":"2017-04-06T06:43:48","modified_gmt":"2017-04-06T11:43:48","slug":"the-stacking-tables-get-an-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=34652","title":{"rendered":"The Stacking Tables Get an Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have a set of stacking tables in the great room that came from Mr. Right&#8217;s aunt, and we have had them for years.\u00a0 Here on the blog you have seen them go through many looks.\u00a0 They started out mahogany, and I painted and distressed them a few years ago.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-27938\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_1215-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Stacking tables - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"682\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_1215-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_1215-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_1215-300x451.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_1215-900x1352.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">(before)<\/p>\n<p>The nice thing about the three tables is that they have removable glass tops that make changing the look easy.\u00a0 Their latest was neutral wrapping paper that resembles burlap.\u00a0 They have had several different colors of paper in them.\u00a0 (By the way, this chair, which I wrote about <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2017\/03\/21\/i-need-your-opinion\/\">here<\/a>, is at the upholsterer right now.)<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-34863\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4064-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Stacking table - the 2 Seasons\" width=\"682\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4064-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4064-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4064-300x451.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When Josie and I were at the <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2017\/01\/10\/a-sunday-at-the-flea-market\/\">Big Flea <\/a>in January, I bought one page from a botanical book from one of the dealers.\u00a0 Although they are generic, I love geraniums.\u00a0 The page is a painting of an old fashioned geranium.\u00a0 I knew it would fit into the largest nesting table to give it a little pop of color.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34864\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4067-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Stacking table - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"961\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4067-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4067-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4067-300x451.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All I did was remove the glass, attach the geranium page with double stick tape, put it back in the frame, and replace the glass.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a subtle change, and I like it very much.\u00a0 And by the way, owning a set of nesting tables has come in so handy.\u00a0 When we have guests for drinks or dessert, we always sit in the great room.\u00a0 The three nesting tables get pulled apart, and I place them beside our guests so they have a spot to put their drinks or plates.\u00a0 Then when the guests go home, I put the three tables back, and they become one.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thank you so much for stopping in.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
