All opinions are mine alone. #OrganizeWithBrilliance #CollectiveBias<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>If I have learned one thing about motherhood and being a mom, it is that I need to be organized. \u00a0This is key for me and for my family. \u00a0So many times before Little Miss was home, meals would be a last minute scramble.\u00a0 You probably know that conversation &#8211;\u00a0 &#8220;What do you want for dinner?&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Hmmm, I don&#8217;t know&#8230;&#8230;.let&#8217;s just go out.&#8221;\u00a0 When it was just the two of us, we could easily go out for dinner at 8 p.m. and not think twice about it. It was easy then, but now family dinner time is one of my favorite parts of the day.\u00a0 I learned, though, that I need to plan, be prepared, and be ready.\u00a0 Little Miss sometimes has a melt-down when I am cooking dinner, so I have learned to follow the code, &#8220;always be prepared&#8221; when it comes to meal planning.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34134\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Meal-Planning-Tips-for-your-Family-737x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Meal Planning tips for your family.\" width=\"640\" height=\"889\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Meal-Planning-Tips-for-your-Family-737x1024.jpg 737w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Meal-Planning-Tips-for-your-Family-233x323.jpg 233w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Meal-Planning-Tips-for-your-Family-300x417.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Meal-Planning-Tips-for-your-Family.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>I have some easy tips on meal planning today that I thought I would share. \u00a0Not only do I need to be more prepared since a little one is in the mix, but we have been eating healthier this past year, and that takes a little more planning. I cannot wait till dinner time to start planning what we will eat that evening.\u00a0 There needs to be a plan already in the works.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34135\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1237-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Meal Planning tips for your family.\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1237-683x1024.jpg 683w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1237-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1237-300x450.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><em><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">My first suggestion is to sit down once a week and write down a menu for the week.<\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Make a shopping list at the same time.\u00a0\u00a0 I like to do this first thing Monday morning before anyone is awake. I made a <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Weekly-Menu-Printable.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">free printable\u00a0weekly menu<\/a> that I print out and take to the store. I browse through some cookbooks and online sites and pick recipes that are tasty and healthy.\u00a0 I also want the meals to make enough so that Yankee can take leftovers with him to work. Before I do my grocery shopping, I take a quick look in my cabinets and pantry to make sure I don&#8217;t buy something I already have and to make sure I haven&#8217;t missed something I don&#8217;t have.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34139\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1244-856x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Meal Planning tips for your family.\" width=\"640\" height=\"766\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1244-856x1024.jpg 856w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1244-270x323.jpg 270w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1244-300x359.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>My second suggestion is to cook once but eat twice.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>We have a few special recipes that our family loves.\u00a0 Luckily, they freeze well, so I can double the recipe and freeze enough for another day.\u00a0 Chili and pulled barbecued chicken are two that come to mind.\u00a0 Both of these recipes can be prepared in a slow cooker which makes those meals even easier.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34129\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1199-875x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Meal Planning tips for your family.\" width=\"640\" height=\"749\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1199-875x1024.jpg 875w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1199-276x323.jpg 276w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_1199-300x351.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>My third suggestion is to prepare healthy snacks to have on hand.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>Since we have been on a healthier kick and since I want to introduce good eating habits to Little Miss, I like to prep snacks and have them ready to go in the fridge. \u00a0Carrots are a huge hit for everyone in our home. Food storage containers are in our lives to make life easier, and I need a brand that works and can be trusted.
