\u00a0We all like to look at other people’s houses.\u00a0 Right?\u00a0 Today I am showing you a tour of my kitchen the way it really looks today.\u00a0 I only “staged” one photo.\u00a0 Everything else is the way it really looks on a daily basis.\u00a0 I don’t like a lot of things on the counter tops in our kitchen, and you will see that in the photos.\u00a0 Also, I have included links so you can read more about certain things.<\/h3>\n

Not much has changed in our kitchen recently other than I took out a lot of the red<\/a>.\u00a0 I am happy to say I love this room as much as I did when we remodeled it.<\/h3>\n

I am still crazy about the rustic shelves we added a while back.\u00a0 It is fun to change them according to the seasons.\u00a0 I am in a white mode right now.<\/h3>\n

Lulubelle<\/a> will always be in our kitchen. I bought her here<\/a>.\u00a0 The rug<\/a> is one of my favorite things.\u00a0 I love old rugs because they add such personality to a room.<\/h3>\n

Still love the gray peninsula.\u00a0 It provides tons of storage.\u00a0 The other side has cabinets with glass doors and wine storage.\u00a0 I forgot to take a photo of that area.<\/h3>\n

The bright light is coming from the French doors that go into our sunroom<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

The tray<\/a> has been updated since its Christmas look.\u00a0 That was one of my best purchases last year.<\/h3>\n

I painted the large one <\/a>and bought the other two in Belgium on a biking trip<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

This area gets a lot of action.<\/h3>\n

My mother gave me some new shiny copper mixing bowls.\u00a0 This spot has been featured in two print magazines and on several major magazines’ websites, like House Beautiful<\/em> and Country<\/em> Living<\/em>.\u00a0 They liked that using a towel bar on the end of a cabinet was a good use of space.<\/h3>\n

I love a bench in place of chairs.\u00a0 It was a Craig’s List find that I transformed with Paris Grey chalk paint by Annie Sloan.<\/h3>\n

Jordan raved so much about her Amazon Echo<\/a> that I asked for an Amazon Dot<\/a> for Christmas.\u00a0 It hides nicely beside the DIY lamps.\u00a0 Having it is like having an assistant. \u00a0 Love it, but I wish she could dust and run the vacuum.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0I am keeping the red pantry door that I painted.\u00a0 I love the pop of color.<\/h3>\n

Here’s a close look at one of the two lamps.\u00a0 I made them from water bottles I bought on ebay and then had custom shades made by a local lamp shop. The mirror was a find from the Restore.<\/h3>\n

I always try to have fresh flowers in the house along with some green plants.\u00a0 They just add life to a room.<\/h3>\n

This is the one staged shot.\u00a0 I wanted you to see my cute knife<\/a>.\u00a0 It’s one of four colorful gingham knives.\u00a0 There are four different sizes in red, blue, yellow, and purple.\u00a0 They had great reviews, a good warranty, and were so reasonably priced.\u00a0 They’re available here<\/a>.\u00a0 I thought you might like them.<\/h3>\n
