We love taking a little somethin’ somethin’ when we are invited to a party.\u00a0 It’s such a nice way to let our host(s) know that we appreciate being included in their special function – be it a party, dinner, cocktails, or tea.\u00a0 I like to take something homemade, like a jar of apple butter<\/a>, some homemade granola<\/a>, or even some peanut butter fudge<\/a>.\u00a0 But when time is a factor, a bottle of wine is always easy and appreciated. Making that bottle of wine a little more personal is also a nice gesture, and we have a simple<\/span> DIY that will make the hostess gift a tad more special.\u00a0 It’s a cork bottle stopper, and it takes about two minutes to make.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0When I was in Belgium<\/a> in October, I spotted some little cork wine stoppers that had a cute holiday thingy on the top.\u00a0 Jordan and I decided that they would be so easy to make and would be the perfect accompaniment to a bottle of wine.\u00a0 This is how you make them.<\/h3>\n

When you are in a craft store, buy a few little holiday-related trinkets that are light-weight and small.\u00a0 (This snowman was attached to a spring which I removed.)\u00a0 Also, buy some corks that will fit into a bottle of wine.<\/h3>\n

Then, all you need to do is heat up your glue gun, and attach the trinket to the top of the cork.\u00a0 That’s it.\u00a0 You are finished.<\/h3>\n

If there is ever an unfinished bottle of wine over the holidays, they can just put a cork in it, thanks to you.<\/h3>\n
