It was amazing talking with our social worker and seeing how much Little Miss has progressed.\u00a0\u00a0 On our first visit I had to stand and hold Little Miss the majority of the visit. \u00a0This visit Little Miss was dancing, all smiles, playing with toys and was a social butterfly.\u00a0 It took a few minutes for her to warm up, but it was a great visit. I am thinking we still have another six to twelve months before we can officially become her parents and give her our last name. \u00a0Believe me, I will let you know when that happens.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33199\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-41-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"6 months Home\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-41-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-41-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-41-300x400.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-41.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>I thought I would try something different for this month of updates so let me know what you think.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33204\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-5-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"6 months Home\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-5-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-5-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-5-300x400.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-5.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Attachment<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>Little Miss continues to attach to us and we continue to play many attachment games and activities. \u00a0One thing we learned is that we need to continue with attachment.\u00a0 We might think she is 100 percent attached and back off and then find out later that she is still not. \u00a0She does know we are her mom and dad and are safe. \u00a0In a crowd she wants to be beside us, but she is opening up to others. \u00a0It now only takes a couple of minutes of her having a blank face before she shows her personality. \u00a0She understands a lot, but I don&#8217;t think she realizes we are here to stay, and she won&#8217;t be passed on to another family. \u00a0That will come with time, but we are thrilled with the progress we are seeing.\u00a0 It still has only been six months, and she is doing wonderfully.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33201\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5840-e1479230615944-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"6 Months Home\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5840-e1479230615944-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5840-e1479230615944-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5840-e1479230615944-300x400.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5840-e1479230615944.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Food<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>I am asked her favorite food many times, and while she did enjoy Halloween candy, she can eat a full adult serving of salmon and broccoli. The other day she picked a piece of Halloween Candy for her snack, looked at it, said chocolate, and took a bite of the peanut butter cup.\u00a0 After that one bite, she put it aside, said, &#8220;all done&#8221;, and asked for mango. \u00a0She wanted mango over chocolate candy????? \u00a0 I am a little shocked, but we are running with it. \u00a0Plus, I have learned to try food multiple times in different ways. \u00a0I have also learned if she helps cook it, she wants to eat it. \u00a0She was never into pancakes or waffles and then one morning Yankee decided to have her help him with the pancakes. \u00a0Before we knew it, she was asking for seconds on pancakes.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33198\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5844-e1479230465334-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"6 months home\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5844-e1479230465334-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5844-e1479230465334-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5844-e1479230465334-300x400.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5844-e1479230465334.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Language<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>Over the last two weeks her language has really blossomed, and I think we all have a surprised look when she puts words together. \u00a0Yesterday I was in the kitchen, and she ran in, took my hand and said,&#8221;Mommy come here.&#8221;\u00a0 Umm&#8230;. Wow!\u00a0 Usually she just said my name, but now she is putting words together. \u00a0It is fascinating to see this happen in front of our eyes.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>Little Miss has a baby doll that she loves to carry around, and she rocks the baby, feeds the baby etc. \u00a0I love seeing her play. \u00a0She also really enjoys the <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2f0hDyi\" target=\"_blank\">Big Legos<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gcPxSn\" target=\"_blank\">these dress up dolls<\/a>. \u00a0We have some great children&#8217;s museums and activities in Charlotte, and she enjoys everything from cooking to pretending she is driving a Nascar. \u00a0If you live in the area and haven&#8217;t checked it out, <a href=\"https:\/\/kids.discoveryplace.org\/huntersville\" target=\"_blank\">this place<\/a> is a must for this age. \u00a0We also both really enjoy having her help us cook in the kitchen. \u00a0I was out one morning, and I came home to these awesome soft pretzels made by my two loves. \u00a0The excitement is\u00a0contagious when she is in the kitchen cooking.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33202\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5818-e1479230739302-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"6 Months Home\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5818-e1479230739302-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5818-e1479230739302-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5818-e1479230739302-300x400.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5818-e1479230739302.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Travel and Holidays<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>This month we did a road trips to Kentucky to visit my parents and to West Virginia to celebrate my grandmother&#8217;s 90th birthday. \u00a0She is a pretty good traveler. \u00a0She has her own suitcase and likes to wheel it to the car and then into our destination. \u00a0She likes to make sure I pack her sound machine. \u00a0I really do think this has helped because while the bed might be different, her sound machine is the same soothing sound. \u00a0I hope she will be able to outgrow it before she goes to college or her roommate might not be a fan of the babbling brook!\u00a0 We also got <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2f0g5oc\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a> for our car trips, and she really likes having a table. We can put some things with her to play with during the trip. \u00a0We also did Halloween where she dressed up as a watermelon. \u00a0Our neighborhood does a little Halloween parade and after realizing she would get candy, she thought it was fun. \u00a0At one point she had two pieces of candy in her bag and just starred and smiled. \u00a0She said, &#8220;two candy, ahhhh.&#8221; \u00a0I think we could havestopped right then and there, and she would&#8217;ve been thrilled.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-33203\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5792-e1479230756799-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"6 Months Home\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5792-e1479230756799-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5792-e1479230756799-242x323.jpg 242w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5792-e1479230756799-300x400.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_5792-e1479230756799.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Gracie<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>She is a fan of Gracie, but it has to be on her terms. However, we have learned Gracie is very protective over her. \u00a0One night when we were visiting my parents, they did bath time and put Little Miss to sleep. \u00a0Gracie wouldn&#8217;t leave her side and went to sleep right beside her. \u00a0#girlsbestfriend \u00a0 She does loves having Gracie run in her room and act crazy when she has just gotten up from the night and nap time. \u00a0When Gracie finally sits and calms down, she says &#8220;good girl.&#8221; \u00a0She likes to watch Gracie&#8217;s hyperactivity from bed and doesn&#8217;t like all the kisses that sometimes come with Gracie. \u00a0At times I&#8217;ll see her just walk over to Gracie and give her a hug or stand by her and pat her. \u00a0Gracie has some outdoor toys that she tries to sneak into the house. \u00a0Well, let&#8217;s just say Little Miss is on top of those toys not being in the house. \u00a0She goes and grabs them, says, &#8220;no, no, no&#8221; to the dog, takes them and throws them outside. \u00a0Gracie also likes to hide a bone around the house, and Little Miss usually finds the bone and gets it and takes it right to Gracie. \u00a0Poor Gracie&#8230;..
