{"id":33020,"date":"2016-11-03T18:00:28","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T23:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=33020"},"modified":"2016-12-01T17:22:01","modified_gmt":"2016-12-01T22:22:01","slug":"cinnamon-ice-cream-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=33020","title":{"rendered":"Cinnamon Ice Cream Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Twice on our recent trip, we were served homemade cinnamon ice cream as part of our dessert.\u00a0 Once it was served with an apple tart, and once with a yellow cake.\u00a0 It was the first time we had eaten cinnamon ice cream, and I realized that I had been missing out on one of life&#8217;s truly good foods.\u00a0 When I came home, I searched and found a cinnamon ice cream recipe <a href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.com\/recipe\/48036\/cinnamon-ice-cream\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 This dessert is good enough to stand alone, but if you wish, you can serve it as a side to any other dessert. When the mixture begins to simmer, remove from heat, and whisk half of the mixture into the eggs. Whisk quickly so that the eggs do not scramble. Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan, and stir in the heavy cream. Continue cooking over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Remove from heat, and whisk in vanilla and cinnamon. Set aside to cool. Can be made a day or two in advance.  Keep in refrigerator.\r<\/li><li id=\"yrecipe-instruction-1\" class=\"instruction\" itemprop=\"recipeInstructions\">Pour cooled mixture into an ice cream maker, and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.\r<\/li><li id=\"yrecipe-instruction-2\" class=\"instruction\" itemprop=\"recipeInstructions\">For soft serve, eat right away.
