The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"961\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3468-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3468-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3468-300x451.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Whenever we entertained, I opened the screen and moved it in front of the large doorway.\u00a0 It hid the kitchen from our guests but only partially.\u00a0 Through the spindles, they could still see pots and pans along with my activity between courses.\u00a0 I have loved using the screen, but all along I always thought there might be a better way to keep guests from looking right into the kitchen when enjoying a nice meal.\u00a0 Then I realized that curtains can provide privacy on the inside as well as on windows to the outside.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32872\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3470-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Kitchen privacy screen - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"961\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3470-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3470-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3470-300x451.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Recently, I remembered that lots of the old Victorian houses often used curtains on the doorways between the rooms for various reasons.\u00a0 When closed, the curtains kept rooms warmer in cold months, cooler in the summer, added softness to the room, and provided privacy.\u00a0 I decided that using curtains between our kitchen and great room would add the privacy that the kitchen needed.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32874\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3475-830x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Kitchen privacy curtain - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"789\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3475-830x1024.jpg 830w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3475-262x323.jpg 262w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3475-300x370.jpg 300w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3475.jpg 1899w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>I searched high and low for curtains that would fit the decor of both rooms and found these at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/7630764\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.countrycurtains.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Country Curtains<\/a>.\u00a0 They are a small navy check called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/7630764\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.countrycurtains.com\/product\/01015p168+laurel+check+rod+pocket+curtains.do?sortby=ourPicks&amp;refType=&amp;from=Search&amp;ecList=6&amp;ecCategory=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Laurel Check\u00a0Curtains<\/a>, and they came in many different lengths, including the 96 inches that I needed.\u00a0 They are made of cotton which will make them easy to maintain.\u00a0 Navy is my neutral, and since we have some form of navy in every room in our house, it was an easy choice.\u00a0 With a little help from Mr. Right, I put the curtains up this past week-end.\u00a0 We hung them using a white tension rod and rings that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/7630764\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.countrycurtains.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Country Curtains<\/a> also provided.\u00a0 The white rod blends right into the bookcases, and by using a tension rod, we didn&#8217;t have to deal with hanging brackets, etc.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32873\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3473-841x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Kitchen privacy curtai -
