First of all, I went with faux as in a white pumpkin, gourds, and fall leaves.\u00a0 Clearly, if I were using the real thing this early in the fall season (when it’s still 90 degrees outside,) this centerpiece wouldn’t last very long.<\/h3>\n

I grounded it all with a cotton square that I bought while on a trip to Greece.\u00a0 The colors and design fit right in with the navy sprinkled around the room and the other fall colors.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\nI pulled out a tabletop greenhouse that I bought a while back, added a mint julep cup, an ironstone pitcher, magnifying glasses, a strand of pearls and the pumpkin and gourds.<\/h3>\n

I thought the pearls would be a nice “something unexpected.”<\/h3>\n

\u00a0Then I put the top over it, replaced my leopard candles with some brown ones that seemed more fall and called it a day.<\/h3>\n

I look at the beautiful photos of centerpieces on blogs and Pinterest and know I can never live up to most of those creations.\u00a0 So, I am doing my thing the way\u00a0 I know it and embracing my favorite season.<\/h3>\n
