The 2 Seasons\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2754-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2754-430x286.jpg 430w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2754-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Next, I poured leftover acrylic interior house paint on the drop cloth.\u00a0 There was really no rhyme or reason to the way I poured it.\u00a0 I stayed with four colors so the finished product wouldn&#8217;t be too busy and would be more cohesive.\u00a0\u00a0 I used leftover paint that I have on hand, but I also buy cans of paint at Home Depot and Lowe&#8217;s when they are on the &#8220;oops&#8221; cart.\u00a0 You can buy sample containers of paint to use as an accent color in your project.\u00a0 Plus, I learned last week that our Restore has a shelf of free paint that they can&#8217;t sell.\u00a0 And remember, you can ask your friends and neighbors for their leftover paints.\u00a0 People love to get rid of old paint that has been sitting in their storage areas taking up valuable space.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-31534\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2752-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"DIY modern art from house paint\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2752-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2752-430x286.jpg 430w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2752-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Then I gently placed the canvas down on the paint and rubbed the entire back of the canvas with my hands so that paint would stick to it.\u00a0 Then I gently removed the canvas and placed it flat on the floor.\u00a0 I let it dry for 48 hours.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-31535\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2753-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"DIY modern art from house paint\" width=\"682\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2753-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2753-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_2753-300x451.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Since this project takes so much paint, it is easy to make two or three canvases at a time.\u00a0 I really think the second one always turns out better than the first.\u00a0 I used a smaller canvas and repeated the same process as above.\u00a0 Then I tilted this one back and forth to create movement in the paint.\u00a0 I really like that some of the lines are blurred.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31543\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/DIY-Art-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"DIY Contemporary Art from house paint -
