cook and don&#8217;t like to use cake mixes.\u00a0 However, when it comes to red velvet cake, I have decided a cake mix is the only way to go.\u00a0 I used a recipe from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0761117199\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0761117199&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=the2sea-20&amp;linkId=VSCVICA6OFXMVKDH\">this book<\/a>, which has been around forever, but I tweaked her recipe some.\u00a0\u00a0 Mr. Right doesn&#8217;t know that I am now making his favorite dessert from a cake mix, and I&#8217;m not about to tell him.<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>One of the nicest things about red velvet cake is that it is a great dessert for any holiday using red.\u00a0 That means if you stick a little paper flag in it, it&#8217;s perfect for July 4th and Memorial Day.\u00a0 It also will be a special dessert for Christmas, and Valentine&#8217;s Day, as well as Mr. Right&#8217;s birthday.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31405\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Red-Velvet-Cupcakes-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Red Velvet Cupcakes - Great for summer holidays - The 2 Seasons\" width=\"640\" height=\"961\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Red-Velvet-Cupcakes-682x1024.jpg 682w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Red-Velvet-Cupcakes-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Red-Velvet-Cupcakes-300x451.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>EASY RED VELVET CUPCAKES<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source &#8211; The Cake Doctor<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Makes 24<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>1 package red velvet cake mix<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>1 cup sour cream<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>1\/2 cup water<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>1\/4 cup vegetable oil<\/h3>\n<h3>3 large eggs<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Cream cheese frosting (below)<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix till well-blended, 2 &#8211;
