{"id":30396,"date":"2016-03-01T19:00:20","date_gmt":"2016-03-02T00:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=30396"},"modified":"2016-03-01T16:56:29","modified_gmt":"2016-03-01T21:56:29","slug":"how-to-make-a-spring-wreath","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=30396","title":{"rendered":"How to Make a Spring Wreath"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>I\u00a0 love being back in the South, and one of the reasons is because\u00a0 I really get to enjoy spring.\u00a0 Yesterday it was 70 degrees, and I planted pansies. \u00a0LOVE IT! \u00a0I never really owned a spring wreath in Syracuse because it was sometimes still snowing through April.\u00a0 It seemed as if we went from winter to summer and having a spring wreath hanging on the door when the thermometer was below freezing just didn&#8217;t make any sense to me.\u00a0 Thankfully, those days are behind me, and I get to embrace the season.\u00a0 One of the benefits of having our first spring in our southern home is actually hanging a wreath and decorating our outdoor spaces. \u00a0\u00a0 I was going to buy a wreath, but after seeing how expensive ready-made wreaths are, I decided to make my own.\u00a0 After all, this blog is all about DIY &#8211; right?<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30408\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9506-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"How to Make Spring Wreath\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9506-683x1024.jpg 683w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9506-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9506-300x450.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>I did some searching on Pinterest and and found many cute ideas. \u00a0I really could have done a wreath for every day of the week.\u00a0 It seemed as if the ones that I liked the most had a nature theme so that&#8217;s the theme I used for our front door. \u00a0 I made the wreath in no time, and I&#8217;ll show you how. \u00a0Start off with a grape wreath, moss \u00a0(I found moss ribbon, which I loved.) \u00a0a bird, a nest, wooden eggs, and your initial, if you want.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30406\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9508-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"How to Make Spring Wreath\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9508-683x1024.jpg 683w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9508-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9508-300x450.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>I couldn&#8217;t find already painted eggs at the craft store, but they did have a bag of wooden eggs.\u00a0 It was easy enough to add some paint to them, and they dried quickly. \u00a0Once they were dry, I hot glued them into the bird&#8217;s nest.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30407\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9511-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"How to Make Spring Wreath\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9511-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9511-430x287.jpg 430w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9511-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Next up, I wrapped moss ribbon around the wreath and secured it with hot glue.\u00a0 This is easy but slightly messy.\u00a0 There was green stuff on the table, but it was easy to wipe up.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30405\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9565-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"How to Make Spring Wreath\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9565-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9565-430x287.jpg 430w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9565-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Then I glued the bird to the nest and the nest to the wreath.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure if those are the kinds of eggs that a blue jay lays, but we&#8217;ll pretend they are.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30403\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9568-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"How to Make Spring Wreath\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9568-683x1024.jpg 683w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9568-215x323.jpg 215w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_9568-300x450.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>It is hard to tell, but I also painted our &#8220;H&#8221;
