One of the things we love so much about Christmas is that it is the one time of the year that we sit down with a pen, stamps, envelopes, and cards and reach out to our friends the old fashioned way.\u00a0 It’s so easy to take a few seconds and send off a text or email, but writing out a card and note means so much more.\u00a0 It tells the receiver that you really care, and you are showing it by giving them your time.\u00a0 It’s a gift, really…..a gift of a letter.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\"Zazzle\"<\/h3>\n

My brother and his wife started their relationship by writing letters – real letters\u00a0 – to one another.\u00a0 They met in a wonderful setting on a wonderful day, but when the day ended, they both had to return to their respective cities and carry on with life.\u00a0 Their relationship grew over the months through pen and paper.<\/h3>\n

On most days my mail delivery is full of catalogs, magazines and junk mail.\u00a0 If and when I ever receive a hand-written letter, I take the time to sit down immediately and read it. \u00a0 \u00a0Afterwards, I feel a real connection to the person who wrote it, and in some odd way, our friendship has been rekindled.\u00a0 That’s why sending holiday cards is so important.\u00a0 They help keep us connected in a real way.<\/h3>\n

This year we decided to forgo our pop-culture photo Christmas cards and to individually select cards that we know will mean something to the person who receives it.\u00a0 Not only am I going to send a special card, but I am also going to include a note.\u00a0 I found a great selection of beautiful cards at Zazzle<\/a>.\u00a0 They made it so easy for me to make personalized choices for every person on our card list.<\/h3>\n

The letters that are sent with Christmas cards don’t have to be long.\u00a0 Actually, they can just be a few sentences.\u00a0 I even selected some special post cards.\u00a0 (Since my mom loves bicycling and old post cards, she might receive this one.\u00a0 Shhhhh!!!)\u00a0 I’m sure we will tell our friends about our move, the upcoming arrival of Little Miss, and wish them a Merry Christmas.<\/h3>\n

Another thing I learned while perusing Zazzle <\/a>is I was able to customize the greetings on the fronts of the cards and on the insides. \u00a0One of the great things about sending cards and letters is that you can be anywhere in the world and put pen to paper.\u00a0 You don’t need a pass word, a desk, a charged battery, or a computer.\u00a0 It’s just pen and paper.\u00a0 How simple and wonderful is that?<\/h3>\n

Zazzle also makes customized stamps, a touch that I love. \u00a0I took calligraphy classes when I lived in Atlanta, and the outside is just as important.\u00a0 Adding a customized stamp really ties the presentation all together.<\/h3>\n

Next Christmas we will be a family of three, and we can’t wait to add Little Miss to our family cards that we will have printed by Zazzle.\u00a0 There’s no end to what they can do to personalize holiday cards.\u00a0 I spent lots of time\u00a0looking at their wonderful ideas and selections. \u00a0It is getting me super excited!<\/h3>\n
