Hi everyone, Mom has gone home, and the first floor is finally painted. \u00a0It was a very, very slowl process. \u00a0By the time she came, I had already painted about 80 percent of the first floor. \u00a0SHe helped with the mudroom hall, the multi-purpose room (we’re still trying to come up with a name for it), and a bath. \u00a0Having ceilings that are 10 feet high is so much better, but when it comes to painting, it is much more labor intensive. \u00a0So, we thought about our posts from last November and decided to bring back this great tip. \u00a0Enjoy the revisit.<\/h3>\n

Ahhh!!\u00a0 One of the things I love about the season is that it is also pomegranate season.\u00a0 The juice is delicious and so good for us, and the seeds have such a unique texture.\u00a0 Mr. Right and I will often have just the seeds for dessert.\u00a0 They are so much better for us than a sweet treat.<\/h3>\n

Last year I was listening to a Martha Stewart interview on NPR, and she described the best way to get the seeds out.\u00a0 She said her team had tried different methods, and this one works the best.\u00a0 So, although this is Martha’s seed solution, I am here to share it with you today.<\/h3>\n

The first thing you do is slice the pomegranate in half.<\/h3>\n

Then for just a few seconds or so, take the time to admire those edible gems.<\/h3>\n

Then put a bowl in the sink.\u00a0 This works best because the edges of the sink catch any flying juice.\u00a0 Hold half of a pomegranate with the seeds facing down.\u00a0 Then using a large spoon hit the pomegranate over and over again.\u00a0 The seeds will just fall out and into the bowl.<\/h3>\n

You will end up with a bowl full of little jewels.\u00a0 You can eat them just like this or top them off with a dollop of yogurt and a splash of honey.\u00a0 They are also great teamed up with cottage cheese.\u00a0 One pom will provide enough seeds for two adults with big appetites.\u00a0 I hope you give this method a try.\u00a0 And collectively, let’s all thank Martha.<\/h3>\n
