When we were at the Haven blogging conference in July, I became acquainted with a company called Everything But the House<\/a>. My mom knew about them because their Lexington office was once near her home. Plus, one of her friends used them to sell her extra furniture when she down-sized. This company is a great idea. They will sell EVERYTHING when someone is downsizing or moving except not the HOUSE. If an estate is being settled or if there is a divorce, they will auction off those items, too. All items are sold online. EBTH<\/a> will ship the items to you, or you can pick them up if the auction is in or near your town. They take the worry and work out of selling your items.\u00a0 Also, if you are on the look-out for something in particular, they make it easy to find it.\u00a0 They are having sales all over the country and are constantly expanding the cities they serve.\u00a0 Between now and next Monday, over 30\u00a0new auctions are starting up all over the country.<\/h3>\n

My mom is loving the rug she won from them. It is the perfect accessory in her kitchen.<\/h3>\n

Since we represent two different generations here at The 2 Seasons<\/em>, our tastes aren’t the same.\u00a0 We each did some research and found rooms\u00a0 that we like and that represent us.\u00a0 Then we went to the EBTH <\/a>site and found an item from each room that is up for bid or was recently auctioned off so you get the idea of how it all works.<\/h3>\n

I don’t know why, but I have been loving the Chesterfield sofas. \u00a0I am really hoping one will work in our next house. \u00a0I love the comfy casual look of this living room –\u00a0 not only the Chesterfield but also the the trunk and the\u00a0 coffee table.<\/h3>\n

This Chesterfield sold in a previous sale, but I was shocked by how many of them have been sold on EBTH<\/a>. \u00a0I am just drooling because I love it.<\/h3>\n

I also like the idea of using an old trunk as a coffee table.\u00a0 It’s a great place for tons of storage. \u00a0This trunk is currently available on one of the auctions. \u00a0 This antique steamer trunk will be going soon, but can’t you picture how great it would be as a coffee table?<\/h3>\n

You can basically find the whole room on EBTH<\/a>.\u00a0 They even have cool maps, such as this one, to use as part of your decor.<\/h3>\n

Another look I am enjoying right now is the mid-century chairs. \u00a0EBTH<\/a> had some in an auction at Haven, and I thought they were really sweet.<\/h3>\n

These chairs are gorgeous.\u00a0 Just add a fun pillow, and voila, you have a great look.\u00a0 There’s plenty of time left on the auction for these chairs.<\/h3>\n

Now it’s my turn…..I love the mixture of the old mirror, the crystal chandelier, and the straight lines of the table in this room.<\/h3>\n

This look-alike Drexel table plus the chairs recently sold on EBTH<\/a> for $325.00.\u00a0 Even if you want just the table, it would have still been a great deal.<\/h3>\n

I was smitten by this bed in actor Vince Vaughn’s little girl’s room.\u00a0 We have little girls’ rooms<\/a> on our mind these days, you know.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0So, look what I found on EBTH.\u00a0 This bed, which is very close to the one above, sold for just $625. on their site.<\/h3>\n

I am crazy about Joanna Gaines’s decorating style on the show “Fixer Upper.”\u00a0 This room really speaks to me – especially the chairs.<\/h3>\n

Well, look what I found on an auction that is going on right now on EBTH<\/a>.\u00a0 The nice thing about their site is if you don’t find what you are looking for, keep checking.\u00a0 They are always adding auctions from all over the country.\u00a0 There are three days left on this auction, and when I saw this chair, it was $1.00.\u00a0 Every item starts at $1.00.\u00a0 If someone bids in the last minute of the sale, then that particular items will be extended five minutes so you get another chance to bid.\u00a0 I lost some items in the last seconds on other auction sites when someone bid as an auction was ending.<\/h3>\n

Everything But The House<\/a> is a great source for a multitude of plates in various colors, styles, and vintages.\u00a0 Remember, they’ll ship anywhere in the US, and you can get a quote before you bid just by entering your zip code.\u00a0 Better yet, if you live in a town where one of their auctions is taking place, you can stop in for the open house they have for each sale.\u00a0 That gives the locals a chance to see everything up close and personal.<\/h3>\n
