<\/h3>\nIf you’ve been around here for a while, then you know my deeply felt wrath for our cable box ( I wrote about it here<\/a>) that has been sitting in our great room since we moved in four years ago.\u00a0 In a cable box’s life, that’s four looooong years and even longer for the me that has been looking at it.<\/h3>\n <\/p>\n

<\/h3>\nWe have tried to come up with ways to hide or get rid of the box, but Time Warner was having nothing to do with that. I tried to hide it on a table, but we had to deal with those wires.\u00a0 Eventually, it ended up on the mantel with a big leafy plant trying to disguise its presence.\u00a0 But enough is enough. \u00a0 So, we decided to end our relationship with Time Warner as of today.\u00a0 Woohoo!!!<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n<\/h3>\nA few weeks ago when we were at our new neighbor’s townhouse for a get together, I noticed that there was no cable box sitting on his mantel even though his television was hanging above the fireplace.\u00a0 He said his tech guy took care of it.\u00a0 He gave me the name of said tech guy, and I set up a meeting.\u00a0 Let me just tell you this.\u00a0 He is as particular as I am, and we hit it off right away.\u00a0 He gave us three options that would work for us, and we chose to get a dish with the box hidden in our basement.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\nCraig (he’s our tech guy) and the Dish installers were here all afternoon, and they got the job done.\u00a0 I am in heaven.\u00a0 Stunned, actually.\u00a0 I don’t even know what to do with that mantel space now, so I’m just going to stare at it for a day or two and study mantel decorating on Pinterest.\u00a0 They should have 10 or 10,000 ideas for me.\u00a0 Just think what I can do with fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.\u00a0 So, if you need to find me, just come to the great room.\u00a0 I’ll be the one with the smile on my face enjoying the nothingness that is on the mantel.<\/h3>\n
