Ever Lemon Biscuits Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>I failed at biscuit making until just a few years ago.\u00a0 That&#8217;s when I came across a recipe that I consider the best biscuit recipe out there.\u00a0 I shared it with you <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2012\/01\/05\/the-best-biscuit-recipe\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 Then I doctored up that recipe for fall\/winter, and shared <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2014\/10\/16\/best-cinnamon-biscuits-ever\/\">this recipe<\/a> with you which has been REALLY popular.\u00a0 Since we are now in the spring\/summer months, I decided to tweak my basic biscuit recipe once again and came up with the best ever lemon biscuits recipe.\u00a0 Sadly, I don&#8217;t know the source of the original biscuit recipe that I use.\u00a0 I just have it written down on a piece of paper meaning I either found it in someone else&#8217;s magazine or a family member gave it to me.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em><strong>BEST EVER LEMON BISCUITS<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>2 cups all purpose flour<\/h3>\n<h3>4 teaspoons baking powder (If you want to make your own baking powder, <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2013\/05\/16\/homemade-baking-powder\/\">here\u2019s how<\/a>.)<\/h3>\n<h3>3 teaspoons sugar<\/h3>\n<h3>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/h3>\n<h3>1\/2 cup crisco<\/h3>\n<h3>2\/3 cup milk<\/h3>\n<h3>1 egg<\/h3>\n<h3>1 teaspoon grated fresh lemon peel<\/h3>\n<h3>1\/2 teaspoon <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2013\/06\/17\/make-your-own-lemon-extract\/\">lemon extract<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.\u00a0 Sift or whisk the first five ingredients together.\u00a0 Cut in the crisco.\u00a0 Mix the milk, egg, grated lemon peel, and lemon extract together together and add to the dry ingredients.\u00a0 Stir gently till all ingredients are well-combined, and then knead on a lightly floured surface 20 times.\u00a0 Roll out to about 3\/4 inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.\u00a0 Place on an ungreased baking sheet (I use a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00629K4YK\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00629K4YK&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=the2sea-20&amp;linkId=ADJVTOEUMRE6NQJX\">Silpat<\/a> on mine) and bake 10 to 12 minutes.\u00a0 Remove from oven and top with a lemon glaze made from 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel, and 4 teaspoons milk.\u00a0 Add more liquid if you want the glaze to be thinner.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Both Mr. Right and I are crazy about these biscuits.\u00a0 We even topped them with <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2015\/04\/23\/blackberry-jam-recipe\/\">this<\/a>.\u00a0 I love to cook brunch for us after mass on Sundays, and a biscuit in some form usually is part of our meal.\u00a0 These biscuits freeze very nicely, and I just pop a frozen one in the microwave when I want a yummy and warm biscuit on a busy morning.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Thanks so
