Hi, all!!! \u00a0The laundry pile is getting smaller, the dust bunnies are gone, and the spring pillows are now brightening up the sofa. \u00a0One of the great things about traveling is that when the plane’s wheels touch down, I am always motivated to get into nesting mode and make our house feel like a home again. \u00a0If you read yesterday’s post<\/a>, then you saw the tulips that were waiting for me when I walked into our mudroom. \u00a0I told you that I would show you how I am using them.<\/h3>\n

I like to keep a seasonal vignette on the dresser in our foyer. \u00a0So, I pulled out my reliable clear blue pitcher, one of our vintage Easter post cards, and a milk glass chicken candy dish, and called it a day. \u00a0The blue pitcher was one that my mother used when I was a little girl. \u00a0I like the way it plays with the blues in the post card.<\/h3>\n

If you have been reading The 2 Seasons<\/em> for a while, then you know that I have a stash of old post cards that are around 100 years old. \u00a0I have a few for most major holidays, and they always make me smile. \u00a0I just put one in this cute frame from my friend Randy, and it becomes art. \u00a0If you don’t have vintage post cards, but like the idea of using them, then check this<\/span><\/a> out.<\/h3>\n

Since the Netherlands is my favorite country with its windmills and all, I especially like the scene in the center of this card. \u00a0I don’t have a clue what that wind mill and charming house have to do with Easter, though.<\/h3>\n

The vignette is very simple, looks nice with the plates on the wall<\/a>, blends well with the kilim rug<\/a>\u00a0(the foyer doesn’t look the same as in that post, but the rug is the same)\u00a0and makes me happy. \u00a0I call that a success story.<\/h3>\n

I know most of you probably have your spring and Easter decorating finished by now because we have been admiring your talents. \u00a0Thanks for stopping in.<\/h3>\n
