Hi, everyone.\u00a0\u00a0 I had the best time seeing Diane Keaton speak at the Nashville Antique and Garden show on Friday.\u00a0 I can’t wait to tell you about it.\u00a0 Meanwhile, last fall Jordan and I both painted our guest bedrooms the same color on the same day.\u00a0 You can read about that here<\/a> and here<\/a>.\u00a0 Well, since our guest bedroom is an en suite, I still needed to paint the attached bath.\u00a0 Finally, after a boat load of procrastination, I got around to it last week.\u00a0 The change is subtle since the only things that changed are the wall color and the shower curtain.\u00a0 Instead of a bright, flaming yellow, the color is now a soft neutral with yellow undertones (Creme by Sherwin Williams.)\u00a0 It’s the same color we used in the bedroom.<\/h3>\n

So, come on into the tiny room and see what I did.<\/h3>\n

First off, I made the shower curtain, which is nice and long.\u00a0 The fabric is for indoors and outdoors so it can handle any dampness.\u00a0 There is a plastic lining behind it.<\/h3>\n

I went with the safe choice on the colors.\u00a0 After going to way too many fabric shops and getting overwhelmed and confused, I am sorry to say that I went with a safe choice.\u00a0 However, I love stripes in a big way, and the colors are the same that I use in the rest of the house.<\/h3>\n

We have a solar tube in the room, and it was creating a glare on the day I took these shots.\u00a0 We LOVE the solar tube, by the way, and have three of them.\u00a0 (I am not being paid to say this.)<\/h3>\n

You can get a better look at the color here.\u00a0 It truly is a creamy color, like the soft shade of a pat of butter.\u00a0 Ironically, the old paint color was called melted butter, but a better name would have been lemon rind.\u00a0 It was intense.<\/h3>\n

Here’s the before.\u00a0 The difference doesn’t look so great in the photos, but take my word for it.\u00a0 There’s a huge difference.<\/h3>\n

Some of the accessories are the same, and others are just items that came from other areas of the house.\u00a0 All of the art is original.\u00a0 One painting is by my mother<\/a>, the two watercolor geraniums are from an art show<\/a> that takes place every August in the park across from our place, and the drawing<\/a> is from an antique shop.<\/h3>\n

It’s always nice to get a project finished that has been on the to-do list for a while, and I am happy to check this one off.<\/h3>\n
