Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I decided it was time to put a new vignette on the great room dining table.\u00a0 But to shake things up a little, I decided to go with a blue, rather than a red, color scheme.<\/h3>\n

It was all because of this sweet little heart shaped box.\u00a0 I based the entire vignette around it.\u00a0 It was a gift from my kiddos when they were young, and it is very dear to me.<\/h3>\n

Going with the blue and white also gave me a chance to use the new ginger jar that I recently bought.<\/h3>\n

Then I could also layer in the Hans Brinker book I like to display this time of year.\u00a0 I just grabbed everything else from either my decorating bin or from around the house.<\/h3>\n

I liked the patina on the silver candle holders, so I didn’t polish them.\u00a0 (I am not following my own advice<\/a>.)<\/h3>\n

\u00a0I should probably anchor everything with a tray or runner, but it’s okay with me the way it is.<\/h3>\n

The lighting wasn’t great when I took these photos.\u00a0 It looks much better in person.<\/h3>\n
