Last year Yankee and I made the drive to Quebec City to explore its charm for Christmas<\/a>. \u00a0It really felt as if we were in France, and we loved our holiday weekend there. \u00a0This year when our guests left the day after Thanksgiving, we hopped in the car and headed north again to experience another holiday weekend in Quebec City.<\/h3>\n

One of the things I adore most about this city is not only you truly feel that you are in Europe, but the holiday decorations are beautiful. Our hotel was right outside the gates of the old town, so join us as we go tour the charm and creativity. \u00a0I have lots of pictures of the holiday decor, especially window boxes which were my favorites.<\/h3>\n

This was hard to photograph because of how the sun was hitting, but it was oozing with historic charm. \u00a0I also love all the different colored shutters on the buildings.<\/h3>\n

The thing you do not see in this photograph is that where I was standing turned out to be stroller parking, and a ton of families must have gone in to warm up over coffee and hot chocolate. \u00a0It was around 14 degrees (F) when we were there, but that did not stop the local families from getting out and strolling around and doing their holiday shopping.<\/h3>\n

This store had fun pots last year, but it is just as creative this year.<\/h3>\n

Even though it was freezing, a variety of restaurants had chairs outside for their guests. \u00a0Adding the blanket was a good idea for these metal chairs.<\/h3>\n

These were not your typical window boxes because they were above the windows. \u00a0I think they pulled it off, and it worked great!<\/h3>\n

This is a famous painting in Quebec City. \u00a0I am posing all bundled up. \u00a0Can you spot me?<\/h3>\n

This holiday decor was the entrance to an outdoor Christmas shopping area. \u00a0There were two of these, and they were huge and made a great statement.\u00a0\u00a0 The vendors were selling everything from carved Santas out of wood, to homemade wool hats and warm wine.<\/h3>\n

At night this year we did a walking ghost tour, and it was wonderful.\u00a0 We highly recommend if you take a visit to Quebec City. \u00a0We ended the tour at this church, and it was so peaceful and beautiful at night.\u00a0 We were the only ones there, so it was a perfect time to take a photo. I hope you enjoyed our holiday tour of the city, and we plan to go back again since it is a great weekend getaway.<\/h3>\n
