I mentioned not long ago that I was in Ohio for work, and while there I was able to spend some time with my friend Amanda.\u00a0 We were best friends in high school, and we were in each other’s weddings.\u00a0 You might recall that we showed a kitchen tour in Amanda’s last home<\/a> over a year ago. \u00a0Well, she has moved into another home, and this one is even better.\u00a0 So while visiting, I decided to take some photos because her style and home are beautiful. Enjoy the eye candy.<\/h3>\n

One thing I really love about her house was the floor plan and layout. \u00a0The moment you walk in, there is a very open foyer.\u00a0 I loved the stairs and how they were not typical.<\/h3>\n

The dining room is on the right of the house once you enter. \u00a0Amanda added the beadboard, and it is wall paper. \u00a0Even after touching it I still didn’t believe it was wall paper because it looked and felt so real. \u00a0I \u00a0need to try out wall paper and do this beadboard paper somewhere in my house.\u00a0 (You can see how my mom used it in her office\/pantry here<\/a>.)<\/h3>\n

She had the table made by a local man in the area, and I love the dark stain color.<\/h3>\n

This hutch has been in her husband’s family for years. \u00a0It has been in every house they have owned, and it has looked in amazing in every house. \u00a0I can’t imagine moving it each time.<\/h3>\n

Here is Amanda’s tea pot display. \u00a0I know my mom would be proud. \u00a0Amanda has always been a fan of my mom’s tea pots<\/a> even when we were in high school. \u00a0I am glad to see she is starting her own collection.<\/h3>\n

This chair works perfectly in the corner.<\/h3>\n

Amanda bought her monogram on Etsy and then ironed them on the parson chairs. \u00a0It is a great way to dress up a room.<\/h3>\n

The next room on the tour is her husband’s office. \u00a0This is a working office at night for Amanda’s husband who is an attorney.\u00a0 (Amanda is an attorney, too, but instead of practicing law, she has started a design business<\/a>.)<\/h3>\n

Mike, Amanda’s husband loves golf, and these prints were perfect for any man’s office.\u00a0 By the way, the wall color is Naval by Sherwin Williams.<\/h3>\n

I just took my first golf lesson the other day so I am now really enjoying this golf art.<\/h3>\n

Now, this is my favorite room in the whole house – the living room. \u00a0They added the stone to the fireplace when they moved in, and I think it makes such a great statement.<\/h3>\n

The sofa and chairs are just beautiful. \u00a0Oh, and did I mention Amanda has three boys \u00a0ages six, four and three?<\/h3>\n

I love how her home has an adult feel, and yet her children can sit on the sofa and chairs and look at a book. \u00a0They have their play area, but the whole house is not over run with kid things. \u00a0Everyone needs a place to relax and this works for their whole family.<\/h3>\n

Again, just because you have young children doesn’t mean you can’t have a light colored sofa.<\/h3>\n

The style of this chair is so fun, and it is really comfortable.<\/h3>\n

For years I have been eyeing that dough bowl. \u00a0I love the size, and you can do so much with it. \u00a0I keep trying to convince her to sell it to me, but she is still holding onto it at the moment.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

This room is so large with a high ceiling, but Amanda wanted to have some sort of curtains. \u00a0She is crafty and bought drop cloths and stenciled away.<\/h3>\n

The piano sits on the other side of the living room. \u00a0Her oldest has started piano lessons, and I even had the chance to hear him play. \u00a0It was fun to see he is using the same piano book that I used when I took piano.<\/h3>\n

Off the back of the house Amanda has a wonderful screened in porch that I have a feeling will get a lot of use.<\/h3>\n

I love this large pitch fork.<\/h3>\n

This hutch is from Amanda’s grandmother and it it also has worked well in all her homes. \u00a0I also think it has been painted at least 4 times and each time it looks great for where it is located.<\/h3>\n

Now on to the room everyone is waiting for\u00a0 – the kitchen. \u00a0This kitchen had so much natural light. It was wonderful.<\/h3>\n

Painting the island is one of Amanda’s future projects.<\/h3>\n

We have another view of the kitchen. \u00a0I want to thank Amanda for letting me share her home with you all.\u00a0 I bet we will get to show you more of it in the future.\u00a0 It’s hard to believe they have lived there for less than a year.\u00a0 I hope you enjoyed the house tour and thank you for reading.<\/h3>\n
