Happy Wednesday, everyone.\u00a0 Even though Jordan was here for less than 24 hours, we packed in a scenic ride past some horse farms so she could see some newly born foals and had lunch at one of our favorite country sandwich shops.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

While I was busy freshening up the guest room for spring<\/a> and for Jordan’s visit, I also took a few minutes to lighten up the mood in the upstairs foyer.\u00a0 In the fall and winter, I like to use the sports coat pillows<\/a> and an equestrian theme<\/a>.\u00a0 I just used some things from my decorating stash to add a lighter look.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0All of the furniture stayed the same.\u00a0 The changes came from the accessories.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0Even the layered mirrors stayed the same.<\/h3>\n

The lamp was once a ginger jar that Mr. Right bought for me in Singapore.\u00a0 We had it converted into a lamp.\u00a0 Its multi-colored flowers say spring.\u00a0 The two thrift store prints leaning against the layered mirrors just add another dimension.<\/h3>\n

I am almost compulsive about having the house all flow together, and the marble top on the dresser is the same as the marble on the floors in all of the bathrooms and on the kitchen countertops.<\/a><\/h3>\n

The plant was here before, too, but it now sits in a powder blue bucket from Ikea.<\/h3>\n

This kilim rug helps tie all of the colors together.\u00a0 You know I have a thing for a good-lookin’ kilim<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

The colors in both rugs reflect the colors in the house.<\/h3>\n

The pastel pillows again have those soft colors.\u00a0 I plan to paint that mirror white so it will look more like a window trimmed in white.\u00a0 And by the way, this whole area is illuminated with a Solartube that I am crazy about.\u00a0 Like I have said before, we have one in this foyer and in two bathrooms that don’t have windows, and they have more than enough light.<\/h3>\n
