This was my favorite. \u00a0First of all, I loved the pastoral feel of the painting. \u00a0Then I thought the florist’s use of potatoes and other vegetables was a really creative interpretation.<\/em><\/p>\n

Every February, the Art Museum at the University of Kentucky does its major fundraiser called Art in Bloom. \u00a0It is a great undertaking that involves local professional and amateur floral designers selecting art from the museum. \u00a0They then interpret the paintings with flowers.<\/p>\n

In addition to hosting two evening galas, the museum is open during the day so that the public can have the opportunity to enjoy the show. \u00a0I am sorry that I cannot give the artists or floral designers credit, but I wanted to share some of the creations with you. \u00a0I hope you enjoy them.<\/p>\n

This black and white mid-century painting was recreated with shades of black and white flowers.<\/em><\/p>\n

The blushing pink of this arrangement captures the essence of the painting.<\/em><\/p>\n

Wow! \u00a0What a pop of color!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This horizontal painting earned a horizontal floral companion.<\/em>
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And this linear painting was accompanied by a linear design.<\/em>
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

The somber lady in the portrait was accompanied by deep-colored flowers.<\/em>
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

I love the plateau effect of the flowers here.<\/em><\/p>\n

Reds and yellows get your attention.<\/em><\/p>\n
