A few weeks ago I gave you a look at our foyer<\/a> with its addition of a vintage Turkish kilim rug and some new pillows.<\/h3>\n

I mentioned at the time that the area is a dog to photograph, and I am here to repeat that it is a D.O.G. to photograph.\u00a0 No matter if it is a sunny day or a cloudy one, the photos are always wonky.\u00a0 I think a lot of the problem comes from the transom window over the front door.\u00a0 There’s my rant for the day.\u00a0 Let’s get on to the plates.<\/h3>\n

I used a variety of plates, but all of them are blue.\u00a0 Is there any other color???\u00a0 Some are very old, and some are bargain finds at T.J. Maxx.<\/h3>\n

I even hung two that match a soup bowl I have from my grandmother.\u00a0 She died before I was born, and my mom gave one of her bowls to me.\u00a0 I bought some plates and a platter from ebay in the same pattern, Princeton by Johnson Brothers.\u00a0 I really like the design.<\/h3>\n

The plates play really well with the rug we bought.<\/h3>\n

They definitely add the finishing touch the area needed, and you can see from this photo that they also play well with the navy wall (Naval by Sherwin Williams – I love that color) in Mr. Right’s office.\u00a0 The office is reflected in the mirror, and you can see it through the French doors.<\/h3>\n

So, for the time being, this area is finished.\u00a0 Now it’s time to just really enjoy it.<\/h3>\n
