When I read magazines, I have to remind myself that things have been staged for the magazine shoot. \u00a0However, I always love that the coffee tables look so perfect. \u00a0I decided to give our coffee table a “staged” look.<\/h3>\n

Our coffee table is not just for looks. \u00a0It gets used every day, but that doesn’t mean it can’t look pretty. \u00a0I bought this tray at a thrift store a while back and gave it a paint job and added some fun zebra paper to the tray<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

While I enjoyed this tray, it was time for a new\/fresh paint job.<\/h3>\n

I wanted a fresh look and decided on white. \u00a0I stilled loved the zebra paper so I decided to use some more of it (it’s wrapping paper) again. \u00a0For the ease of painting purposes I ripped out the original zebra paper. \u00a0Plus, the thing I love \u00a0is that I can easily change the paint and paper in the future for a new look.<\/h3>\n

I also wanted some greenery on my coffee table, but I am not the best at keeping plants alive in my house. \u00a0I have six plants, and only two are thriving. \u00a0The others have seen better days. \u00a0I decided to try my luck at a faux greenery arrangement. \u00a0I found this bowl on sale at Hobby Lobby and filled it with some rocks.<\/h3>\n

I then took this faux plant and cut off the stem so I could set it in the bowl. \u00a0I am not sure what type of faux plant this is considered I might guess some sort of aloe or cactus.<\/h3>\n

Once I put in the greenery, I added more rocks. I am happy with the outcome. \u00a0I am amazed at how real this plant looks. The key to its looking real is to keep it dusted. \u00a0I put the bowl on a mirror I had on hand from a dollar store, and it was just the extra touch it needed.<\/h3>\n

You can see how much better the updated tray looks. \u00a0I added a candle for some ambiance and a \u00a0silver julep cup. \u00a0The silver cup is personal to me, and I think it is nice to use items that are special. \u00a0Right now, \u00a0it is housing the matches. \u00a0I also set out a deck of cards. \u00a0We do love games around here, and those cards will get a lot of use.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The next thing I added was something tall. \u00a0I found this tall blue container at TJ Maxx. \u00a0Since I already had a candle on the table I put some corks in the container.<\/h3>\n

I think the new staging is a good update for the coffee table. \u00a0So, here are the things you can do to stage your coffee table.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

-Have books that your guests might be interested in browsing when they are sitting by your coffee table.<\/h3>\n

-Greenery is a good contrast. \u00a0I plan to swap out fresh flowers every so often for my greenery.<\/h3>\n

-A candle adds ambiance and a little romance to the table.<\/h3>\n

-Height is good.<\/h3>\n

-Try to have something special that can be swapped out as you please.<\/h3>\n

-Trays are \u00a0excellent for holding things, and you can place them at different angles and spots on the table.<\/h3>\n
