This recipe is not ours at all, but it is just a reminder to you that chicken pot pie is a great comfort food, and January is a great month to eat meals that are hearty.\u00a0 My mom does a lot of the cooking when she visits, and this week she made a Bisquick chicken pot pie one night.\u00a0 We paired it with an argula salad and homemade banana cream pie.\u00a0 Yum!!\u00a0 When she first decided to make this recipe we had a slight problem.\u00a0 I didn’t have any Bisquick, but that didn’t stop her.\u00a0 She found a recipe on-line to make her own.\u00a0 We’ll start with it first.<\/h3>\n

HOMEMADE BISQUICK<\/span><\/h3>\n

5 cups all purpose flour<\/h3>\n

1\/4 cup baking powder<\/h3>\n

1 tablespoon sugar<\/h3>\n

1 teaspoon salt<\/h3>\n

3\/4 cup vegetable oil.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend till completely mixed.\u00a0 Then follow any Bisquick recipe.\u00a0 Mix can be stored in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to three months.\u00a0 Recipe can be halved.\u00a0 This recipe came from www.allrecipes.com.<\/a><\/h3>\n

BISQUICK CHICKEN POT PIE<\/span><\/h3>\n

1 2\/3 cups frozen mixed vegetables<\/h3>\n

1 cup chicken<\/h3>\n

1 can condensed chicken soup<\/h3>\n

1 cup Bisquick mix<\/h3>\n

1 egg<\/h3>\n

1\/2 cup milk<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. In a sprayed 9-inch pan, stir vegetables, chicken and soup together.\u00a0 In medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients until blended.\u00a0 Pour into pie plate on top of vegetable\/chicken mixture.\u00a0 Bake for 30 minutes.\u00a0 Serves 6.\u00a0 This recipe came from here<\/a>.<\/h3>\n
