Jordan is in the house. \u00a0Yep, she arrived yesterday with Gracie, their cute dog, to stay till after\u00a0 Thanksgiving. \u00a0We are on the fourth day of our Thanksgiving week of ideas to share (go here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a> for the others), and since we had so much fun making napkin rings for our Trick or Tea, <\/a>we decided to follow the same method and make some for Thanksgiving. \u00a0They are so simple and kid-friendly. \u00a0So, while you are cooking up the bird next week, have the kids make these for the table. \u00a0It will give them something to do.<\/h3>\n

The first thing you do is find an empty paper towel or wrapping paper roll. \u00a0Next you select the paper that you are going to use. \u00a0Wrapping paper, decoupage paper, or scrap book paper would all work. \u00a0We used a gold and white decoupage paper. \u00a0Cut the paper so that it will fit around the roll.<\/h3>\n

Then you brush the modge podge onto the roll. \u00a0Immediately wrap the paper around it. \u00a0Be sure to smooth out any creases and seal the edges with some more modge podge. \u00a0Apply another coat of modge podge, and let it dry well. \u00a0(If they are being made on Thanksgiving morning, I would skip the extra coat to make sure they dry well.)<\/h3>\n

Finally, cut the roll into widths of about 1.5 inches.\u00a0 (If kids are doing this project, you might want to help with the cutting.)\u00a0 That’s all there is to it.<\/h3>\n
