I finally have a house tour to share with you. \u00a0First of all, I have to thank my friend Ross who enjoys photography as a hobby, and so he helped me out on the photos. \u00a0Thanks Ross!<\/h3>\n

Welcome to our home. \u00a0I have tried to give you a tour of pictures. \u00a0So this post is heavy on the pictures and not the words. \u00a0The only room missing in the tour is our study which is under construction with a project, and it is not ready for its close-up yet. \u00a0Hopefully, it will be soon. \u00a0Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy our home.<\/h3>\n

I love the charm and character of an old house. \u00a0The door knobs are one of the original features.<\/h3>\n

The living room is very open and bright for an old house.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"House<\/p>\n

\"House<\/p>\n

The Florida room gets used a ton in our house. \u00a0This is the hang out room to play games and have a cocktail with our friends. This room needed some help when we moved it. \u00a0 Here are some of the things we did to improve the space. \u00a0We added\u00a0New windows,<\/a>\u00a0 added hardwood floors<\/a>, took this free table to a fun game table<\/a> and added the Ikea daybed<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

Who ever is the bartender gets a great open view to the first floor.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"House<\/p>\n

Mr. Spring built the bar <\/a>himself for the room.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

This room is one of my favorites because of all the sun that comes in on those cloudy Syracuse days. \u00a0Some of the projects in this room I have completed and some with the help of my mom are the Dine sign<\/a>, painted\u00a0curtains<\/a>, thermostat<\/a> and pictures<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

The container on the left of the picture is a home brew beer Mr. Spring is making. \u00a0It was moved around the house on photo day. It’s like where’s Waldo. \u00a0 See if you can find the other picture in the post where the beer is located.<\/h3>\n

The kitchen is slowly getting some updates. \u00a0We\u00a0painted the cabinets<\/a>, added a subway tile backsplash<\/a>, installed a new double oven<\/a> and dishwasher<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

I turned the desk area into a coffee bar, and we use it every day.<\/h3>\n

Our half bath is tiny, but it works great! It did get a little update you can read about here.<\/a><\/h3>\n

The gallery wall <\/a>works great going up our stairs.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is the first time I have shown the whole master. \u00a0The DIY headboard is \u00a0popular in the blog world. \u00a0We have a king sized bed and instead of getting a large piece of wood, I bought a hollow door at Home Depot for $20 and covered it with foam and fabric. \u00a0The size is perfect for a king sized bed.<\/h3>\n

The dresser on the left is my Ethan Allen dresser that I knew I couldn’t paint. \u00a0The handles<\/a> and mirror were an easy update.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is one of our two guest bedrooms. \u00a0It is quite large for a guest room. \u00a0The curtain on the right is a makeshift wall. \u00a0At one point an owner removed the wall to have an area for his daughter to play. \u00a0We use it as a storage area to house crafts, suitcases, the sewing machine, etc. \u00a0Plus, Gracie likes to go behind the curtain to get away from everything and everyone to sleep. \u00a0She thinks it is her bedroom. \u00a0The art above the bed was an easy Modern Art project<\/a> I did which was fun to make.<\/h3>\n

This is the other guest room. \u00a0You can read about how I covered the old Ikea headboard here.<\/a><\/h3>\n

We only have one full bath, and it is tiny. \u00a0It works for us but storage is lacking. \u00a0Mr. Spring built this shelf <\/a>above the door, and it has come in so handy to store our towels.<\/h3>\n

\"House<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

The laundry room is in the basement, and I did what I could to make this a pleasant space to clean clothes. \u00a0Some of the projects done in this room were, painting the walls,<\/a> painting the washer and dryer<\/a>, and\u00a0painting a rug<\/a>. \u00a0Wow! It turns out a lot of painting went on down there.<\/h3>\n

This backporch has improved a lot since we have moved here. \u00a0We have updated the look<\/a> and even turned this changing table into a bar.<\/a><\/h3>\n

Mr. Spring built this mini mudroom <\/a>when I was away on a business trip. \u00a0It has not been through a winter yet it has already come in super handy.<\/h3>\n
