Slowly this year we have been making some changes in our courtyard to give it more of that Ralph Lauren vibe<\/a>. \u00a0It all started when we had the dirty tree removed.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0Removing the tree that was shedding something at least 10 months of the year sort of gave us our wings.<\/h3>\n

The tree also left a pretty big root system, but our friend took care of removing it.<\/h3>\n

Then it looked like this, and I came up with a bright idea.<\/h3>\n

Ever since we have lived there, the grill has been taking up walking space in our courtyard.\u00a0 I decided to create a little platform and move the grill to the space where the tree used to be.<\/h3>\n

I bought some 12 by 12 pavers and filled in the area with them.\u00a0 It only took nine of them.\u00a0 Mr. Right and I decided that when a brick mason comes this fall to do some work in our neighbor’s courtyard that we will have him lay some permanent bricks here so it will look like the rest of the courtyard.<\/h3>\n

Mission accomplished.\u00a0 Do you see the grill?\u00a0 No?\u00a0 Exactly…<\/h3>\n

The grill is now tucked away in the corner and out of the way.\u00a0 It is more convenient for me now when we are grilling, and it is closer to the table.<\/h3>\n
